Sera felt her heart bursting at the sight of him standing there, alive. She let out a cry of relief.

Zane’s eyes were locked on Sera, his mouth tightened as he stepped into the demolished penthouse, taking in her disheveled and tied up state.

“Zane, she’s-” Sera’s voice was cut off by the black smoke, slapping across her mouth.

Zane’s eyes lit with rage.

Hestia turned from her inspection of Lonny, her head lifting to greet their visitor, a small smile playing on her lips.

Zane’s attention diverted to Hestia as the two locked gazes. Hestia’s amusement slid from her face—surprise, disbelief, and then cruel delight slashed across her features.

“I’d recognize those eyes anywhere,” she insisted, glowing at the arrival of the creature’s presence. How long she had waited for this moment. He looked the same as the day she left him to die in those marsh lands.
