Chapter 22 : Movie night
"Now mind if you get off me?"
"S-sorry..." I let go of Zeke , looking down at the floor. Was that just a bad dream... or did it actually happen...? I can't really remember much, my head was just spinning.
"Clover! Be careful." Matteo grabbed onto me, preventing me from falling backwards. He guided me back to seat down on my bed as Millie stared at me worriedly.
"What happened Clover? You were lying on the floor unconscious when we came in, even the door was unlocked..." the door was unlocked? So it wasn't a dream...?
"So it's real huh..."
"What's real?" Matteo was concerned about me, seeing that he held my shoulders tightly but loosened when he saw me looking at him.
"I'm sorry...I was just worried..."
"It's okay, it's nothing much...but why are you guys here?"
"We initially wanted to come find you for a hangout together but Zeke said you weren't staying with him anymore so we came here instead..." Millie explained briefly to me and I nodded my head
Knowing that they came here to find me just for a hangout made me smile. At least they found me...otherwise I think I'd be lying on the floor for god knows how long...
"Well I'm fine now...you guys can go home and get some rest, we can-"
"Why not we have a sleep over?!" Millie excitedly exclaimed, raising her hands into the air. A sleepover...? It isn't bad but...
"Hey that's not a bad idea, what do you say Clover!" Matteo grinned, agreeing to what Millie said. They did it again...they do argue but they can agree with each other sometimes.
"Fine fine...but I only have one guest room though..."
"Matteo is obviously getting the guest room. He ain't touching my baby one bit." Millie pulled me away from Matteo, hugging me tightly while staring at him.
"Well I'm not having any of that, I'm going home." Zeke went out of my room and left, I guess...if what happened was true then...
I went out of my room and got a hold of his sleeve before he could step out the front door. "Wait!"
He looked at me, waiting for me to say something but my mouth couldn't get the words I wanted to say out...
"I..." I looked down, letting go of his sleeve and fiddled with my fingers, unable to say anything.
"What is it?"
"I...nevermind, I just wanted to ask if I can come over to your house sometime to water the plant...?" Great...okay, I'll take that as what I wanted to say for now...
"Whatever...just don't bother me when your over."
"Mhmm...and if I don't come over, can you help me water the plant for me? I want it to grow healthy." I asked, hoping that he would say sure to it. He doesn't really take care of the plant, it was always me that does.
Even so, maybe he'll agree for this once, taking care of a plant can't be that bad right? It's just like how you would care for a pet~
"Fine...I'll take care of it when your not around..." Zeke agreed, looking away.
"Thank you!" I smiled at him in response. Well that isn't the point but what is wrong with me, why can't I just say that I don't want him smiling at other girls other than me, though he has never done any of that before but just in case...
"Cold jerk..."
"What?" I shut my mouth, knowing that I just said that out loud. He didn't hear that right-?
"Oh it's nothing...hahah." I laughed it off as he rolled his eyes, weirdly staring down at me. With no words said, he left my house, shutting the door on his way out.
"Clover! What are you doing? " Millie came rushing down to me like as if something bad has happened to me.
"I'm fine Millie, let's go sit down and maybe watch some shows~?" I suggested and her worried looking eyes sparkled immediately, hearing that we are going to watch some shows.
"Sure!" Millie smiled, walking over to the couch and turned on the tv. I went over to the kitchen and got some snacks that I had kept in my cabinets, that I seldom eat since I'm always alone and yep it's lonely-
Matteo came over and helped me carry the snacks into the living room. I sat down at the corner of the long sofa and watched as Millie picked a movie, I don't mind any movie except for horror ones.
Millie like those kinds of movies while I'm the opposite, I hate it. Well not say hate it but I don't like the jump scares and the suspense of the movie.
Matteo sat down on the floor and started eating the chips he had in his hands.
"Let's watch this!" Millie picked out a random horror movie, smiling at the screen. Blinking my eyes for a few times, I shook my head repeatedly.
"Nope, no. No horror movies Millie."
"Why~ Just this once please~ it's been long since we've seen a horror movie." Millie begged with her eyes, giving off the puppy like eyes to me. Well yea it's been long since we've watched one cause I didn't want to-
I shook my head but she came closer to me, grabbing my hands with her eyes saying 'please let me watch it once'. I hesitated before sighing, giving in to her, what can I say, oh what can I say~
"Fine...just this once and maybe next time you can watch it yourself or with Kevin-"
"Yay! Thank you Clover~ Much loves." I chuckled, seeing that Millie was trying to act cute, showing me hearts. Matteo acted disgusted and pretending to choke on the chips.
"Hey, don't laugh at me!" She hit him on the shoulders as he stopped laughing. I gave a small laugh, always seeing this two fight like there's no peace between them.
But when there's something they agree on, it's either weird or just even weirder. Probably one of a cause on why Zeke was mad at me- Still, it wasn't entirely their fault...
We adjusted ourselves, turned off the all the lights and prepared for the movie, I wasn't really into it so I took out my phone and scrolled through social media and read some novels instead.
Somehow I don't think I can last, just sitting here and staring at my phone for a couple of hours. Well I can but it kinda gets boring and I'm glad there is still some moonlight shining through the windows, otherwise I might faint.
"What are you looking at?" I flinched at the sudden voice that spoke up, in the quiet room. I turned my head and was met face to face with Matteo and I hit him lightly.
"Don't scare me like that!"
"I'm sorry hahaha."
"You two be quiet, if you don't wanna watch you can go somewhere and have your conversation." Millie said, not sparing a glance at us, nope I'm staying here. Who knows what this wolf might do to me when we're alone, tear me down?
"You can continue watching the show with Millie, I'll just mind my own business here~" I shooed Matteo away and focused back on my phone but he kept poking my arm.
"Hey~ I'm bored."
"Don't you like horror movies?"
"It's not interesting~" Matteo whined, pouting at me. What am I suppose to do, play with him? ummm...I stared at him as he stared back, I don't know what am I going to do...
"Why don't we play a game?"
