I fucked up myself with this, but then again, I didn't want to lie to Geth, they deserved my honesty, but the question was a tricky one. Geth as a whole followed logic, and if I told them something like 'I don't know,' it would just make me feel wrong.

And as I was thinking about what to tell them, one memory came to my mind, a memory when I first visited Rannoch, a Quarian homeworld without quarian present, taken care of by Geth, who for hundreds of years after their creators wanted to terminate them and left them was taking care of the war-torn world.

It was both surprising and touching when I first saw that the cities that were left in ruins after the Morning war are fully repaired, entire cities and ecosystem of Rannoch were repaired and healed by Geth, who are even until now taking care of the cities without its residents.

But the biggest blow to me, and the reason I started to little resent my ancestors is the cemetery.

When I asked Geth why I could see datums of deceased quarians even after the Morning war, even hundreds of years after they tried to kill Geth unsuccessfully and left, the cemetery is being expanded with everyday updates about the death of quarian whose name would be written upon an empty grave.

ANd what the Geth told me was hard to stomach, the Geth, until now were watching quarians, be it in the Migrant fleet where they are hidden in programs without quarian knowledge or citadel space where they monitor every quarian that die so they can raise the death quarian an empty grave in honor of their creators.

If there was a child in the galaxy who could be called the most filial, it would be Geth.

Heh, why did I even searched for an answer when it was the entire time before my eyes.

"Do you have a soul? Do I have a soul?"

I said to Geth and looked at the platform of Geths before me with my face as my mask folded into my suit.

"You know, when I said I feel dirty, it meant that even after hundreds of baths, I would still felt dirty, no matter how pristine I look, my mind would still be weighted by my actions no matter how necessary I saw them."

I said and touched my face.

"Geth, tell me, is there some instance that you still revisit? Some action that you even until now seeks ways to change?"

I asked as I watched the Geth before I blink its lights as I felt the entire Geth collective stop for a second that could be in machine race be an eternity.

"Well?"

I asked again as the Geths lights stopped blinking.

"Sole instance was found, Geth seeks to know if they could stop creators from acting so aggressive if the Geth didn't ask creators if they had souls."

Geth said, and I chuckled weakly. These tin cans are my sole companions for numerous years, so I know that there is more of it unsaid.

"I see, you know? Even we organics want to know if we have souls, yet we think we have one. Tell me, Geth, do you THINK you have a soul?"

I asked and tried the ever-growing cemetery and the Geths that were taking care of it as not to let anything destroy the tombs of theirs creators.

"We need more research data for the answer."

Geth said, and I chuckled.

"Then you have your answer, and if you seek to know if you have a soul, then you are already like we organics, after all, even we still seek the definite answers for that question too."

I said to Geth as I patted its shoulder, even if the platform it resided before is taller than me.

"You know, if you ever find an answer for that question, let me know, I would like to know too if I have a soul."

I said and walked to the observatory as I looked at the Rannoch from the space station Geth built solely for my needs.

In truth, the Geth built a lot of things for me even without me knowing beforehand, not just this station that looks like a mix of the citadel and quarian culture, I get even my own ship that is more defended than even the standard Geth dreadnought.

In short, the Geth like to spoil me, no matter for what I ask the Geth get it for me or in case build it from scratch for me, but still even If they give full weight on my options, they still do their own things, like the new war machines the Geth build.

The sole things I was this entire time focused on were ship and space combat, completely forgetting that Reapers use ground forces, but I don't need to worry as I found that Geth started to create counter units on the things I told them about.

Like Geth Colossus, that I remembered was a pain in them as in the games did get new upgrades after Geth used my ingenuity from ships and human culture that we spy on.

Yes, Geth found out that I like to spy on the human internet, especially for any ideas when it comes to geeks and nerds about weapons and mechs.

The Geth Colossus was reforged, it gained additional armor platings that erased any weak points in its previous design, where was previously one head with heave cannon it's now sported one head with heave cannon and additional two heads on both sides with light cannons and heaves rapid-fire Gatling guns the Geth stole from humans designs.

At the same time, it gets additional shields that worked like the Reapers kinetic shields, in short, after multiple simulations, it was shown that destroying a single Geth Colossus would take a full company of Turians with the need of biotics if they lacked heave armaments.

At the same time Geth changed their ground doctrine, all Geths were now upgraded into Geth primes that sported two heave machine guns in each hand like some small SMG guns, not speaking about their rocked bags on their backs that shot rockets capable of taking down any aerial transport citadel currently have.

So yep, It seemed I somehow made Geth experience the human ingenuity when it came to guns and destruction as they behind my back used so many ideas that humans think are impossible for their own benefit.

Now I just wondered that when the time of the meeting between Geth and humans if someone would find that the things that were posted on their internet as fantasy is fully operational in Geth's hands.

Of course, after I found out that Geth gone into full heave forces, I told them that they needed agile and numerous forces as not to paint a target on their heave and slow forces.

And as such came the idea of mechanized varrens, quick, deathly, and absolutely in massive numbers that could run through the battlefield and bite anything that came close to them, of course, I didn't forget to tell them to install machine guns on their backs as to gun enemies as they would run around them.

In short, Geth gone nuts with new ideas they stole both from humans and citadel races...

"Hey, I just remembered, do you have the invisible ships near the Feros world?"

I asked Geth as I remembered the topic I wanted to speak about before the entire soul debacle.

"Affirmative, Geth forces started to search for target 'Plant vs Zombies' as you designated it, currently without success as the ruins spawn entire world."

Geth said, and I nodded, even if I knew that Thorian is in that world, I didn't know where. Either I would wait for humans to find him or find it myself, and I was not patient enough to wait for humans.

"Sister Mera, Geth wish to ask what are your plans with the target."

Geth asked, and I hummed, yes, what are my plans exactly with that stupid plant? Well, for first, I knew that Reaper didn't like it, so I wanted it, and secondly, the Thorian could be handy in research how to protect the organic mind from indoctrination, Geth could make themselves harder to hack, but organics did need some shield or something against that brainwashing.

"Well, for now, I just to speak with it, and then we will see if it help us willingly or if we need to use force."

I said and chuckled at the idea of Thorian bound in a metal prison without organics to control.
