CHAPTER 5

LILY'S  POV :-

"Woah! I already like you Lily. You are a fire. Welcome to the company, my lady," Ethan told me, taking my hand again in his hand and giving a small kiss at the back of my hand.

"Thank you sir," I told Ethan, while giggling like my little Belle.

"Oh drop that word, Lily. Evan is your boss and sir. Not me. You can just call me Ethan," Ethan told me, still holding my hand in his hand.

Before I could reply to Ethan, my hand was roughly snatched away from Ethan's hand. I looked up to see a very angry Evan glaring at both of us,

"If you guys are done flirting with each other, can we please get back to work now? Not that I care though. You can flirt or even sexually please each other, I don't care, but not in office. Do whatever you want to do outside the office premises." Evan angrily commanded both of us and trust me when I say that my mouth was wide-opened after hearing his words.

Disgusting! This man is just disgusting! How can he even think that me and Ethan are sexually attracted towards each other? We definitely are not. Well, I don't know about Ethan, but I definitely am not sexually attracted towards Ethan.

'Then who are you sexually attracted to, Lily? Is he Evan?' My demon asked me, while winking at me like a creep.

'Just shut up you idiot. I am not sexually attracted to any of the two Paxwell brothers,' I replied while inwardly frowning at my demon. I was about to give it a huge lecture, but before I could start, Ethan's voice brought me back to reality,

"Bro. Are you on your periods? Why so much cockiness?" Ethan told Evan, while laughing at his brother, who was now giving death glares to Ethan,

"Okay. Fine. Sorry Bro. But don't be so mean. I was just introducing myself to your new PA." Ethan said, while holding his hands up in defeat.

Cool! So even devil's own brother, or should I say twin brother, thinks that he is mean and cocky. Oh! How much I like Ethan already! Well, not in a sexual way, but just like a friend.

"No need to introduce yourself to my PA, Ethan, as I am the one she is going to work for and not you. So she should better know more about me and not about you," Evan told his brother, still giving him a deadly glare.

"Whatever," Ethan told Evan and then turned towards me,

"So what are you doing in the lunch break, Lily? Can we go out for lunch together?" Ethan asked me, while scratching the back of his neck with his fingers.

Well this guy is definitely sweet, isn't he?

I opened my mouth to reply, but was again cut off in between by the devil himself,

"She is working in the lunch break. So she won't be able to go out with you." Evan told his brother.

"What the hell bro? Are you going to make her work even in the lunch break?" Ethan asked his brother, his voice a bit louder than before.

"Yes. I am. Now please excuse us," Evan told Ethan and started pulling me away from Ethan. Well, sorry, but I forgot to inform you that this entire time, Evan was holding my hand tightly in his hand. It was like he was afraid that I might run away from him, if he left my hand even for a second.

'So you think that Evan is attracted to you and is afraid of losing you, Lily? Seriously buddy? Who do you think you are that he might be attracted to you, Lily? Angelina Jolie?' My demon asked me and this time I didn't argue with it as it was right.

The Evan Paxwell can never be attracted to a girl like me. I am just not his type. Even the google states that he dates only super models of the world. So I guess he can never be interested in a girl like me.

I don't know why, but this thought made my heart sink a little bit. What is wrong with me? It's not like we are dating or something. So why do I even care whether the devil will be attracted to me or not? Shit! Stupid me! I really need to consult a doctor, as I am going mad.

"Are you done day dreaming, Miss Jones?" Evan's voice hit my ears, bringing me back to reality.

I looked up to realise that we were already standing in a cabin and Mr. Devil had already left my hand, making me miss his touch and warmth again.

He went behind the table and sat on a very comfortable looking chair,

"Just go and make me a cup of coffee with only one cube of sugar. The kitchen is in the left corner of the floor," Evan ordered me and dismissed me from his cabin.

Uh. How rude and mean?

I immediately left his cabin, closing his cabin door behind me. But wait! Where is my cabin? I mean where do I work? Should I ask him or someone else about my work place? What will Evan think about me if I ask him this silly question? But as I have no other option, I decided to directly ask Evan about my query.

I was about to open Evan's cabin door again and ask him about my work place, but luckily Ethan saved me from embarrassment by stopping me in my tracks,

"Searching for your cabin?" He told me and I happily nodded my head in agreement.

He immediately took my hand in his hand and started pulling me somewhere along with him. After walking a few more steps, he finally entered a cabin which was dark and I followed him quietly like a lost puppy. Leaving my hand, Ethan left me standing alone in the cabin while he himself got lost somewhere in the dark cabin. What? Is he trying to kill me? If yes, then who will take care of my Belle? Please tell her that her mommy loved her a lot. May God bless my soul!

I was lost in my thought when suddenly the lights in the cabin were switched on and what I saw made me gasp in amusement. I was standing in a very spacious and uniquely decorated cabin. Okay, fine. It was not as big as Evan's, but it was almost the same size as my little apartment. And trust me this looked even more classy than my small apartment. Well, I guess money can speak,

"Like your new work place, Lily?" Ethan asked me. I looked at him to find him standing with the support of the table and with his arms folded across his chest.

"Like it? I love it, Ethan. This is just beautiful," I told Ethan happily like a little child who just got a candy.

"Happy to hear that, Lily. Now I will leave you alone to work. See you after work, Ly," Ethan told me, winking at me. But before I could answer back, he was already out of my cabin. I was looking around my new....

Shit! I just forgot that devil asked me to make him a cup of coffee.

I immediately placed my handbag on the table and almost ran to the kitchen to make coffee for the devil.

I made the coffee as he ordered me and immediately carried it to his cabin. I knocked the door and only after one knock he ordered me to come inside. I went inside, closing the door behind me, and quietly placed his cup of coffee on his table. He picked up the cup in his hand and took a sip from his coffee, but didn't say even a word. What? Didn't he like it? Or did he like it? Did it taste bad? Or did it taste good? Shit! Someone please ask him to cut the suspense,

"What took you so long to bring me my coffee?" Evan asked me, bringing me out of my useless thoughts.

"Yeah, about that. Actually I forgot to ask you about my work place. But before I could enter your cabin again, Ethan offered to show me my new cabin. I agreed and we both went to see my new cabin. So I guess, it got me somewhat late," I told Evan and he instantly placed his cup on the table with a loud thud.

Uh. Why is he angry now?

He immediately got up from his place and marched towards me like a lion marches towards his prey. I gulped in fear and kept taking a step back, to which he kept taking a step forwards towards me. I didn't realise that I was almost at the entrance of the cabin, when my back suddenly hit the closed door.

The devil placed both his hands on the closed door, one on each side of my head, encaging me between him and the door. He was standing too close to me for my liking. I could even smell his perfume due to his damn close proximity. Well, not to lie, but he seriously smelled too good.

"Stay away from my brother." Evan told me, in a dangerously low voice, which almost made me shiver in fear.

"Why?" I unknowingly asked him, curious to why he was so angry with me talking to his brother.

"Do as I say, or I will make your life a living hell," he told me and immediately walked away from me, making his way to his chair. It would be a lie if I say that I was not missing his scent already. Why does he have to go away from me? Can't he just stand here close to me and talk?

'What? What the hell are you thinking Lily? Are your periods around?' My demon asked me and yes, it was right. My next periods were in a few days. So it means these are just my hormones that are behaving so strangely in front of him. Not that I am attracted to him though.

'If these are your hormones that are behaving so strangely, Lily, then why are they not behaving strangely in front of any other man than him? Huh?' The demon asked.

'Shut up and go to hibernation already.' I scolded my demon.

"Now go to your cabin and check your new email. The address and the password is stored in your office laptop. I have sent an email to your new address. Just send that email to these clients." The devil told me, pointing at a file placed on the table.

I nodded and walked forward towards his table to take the file. After I picked it up in my hands, I immediately left his cabin, making my way towards my own cabin.

Let the new job began now. But I am already missing my baby girl. Maybe I should give her a call first.
