Chapter 3

"It was scary! I was being backed into a corner by the large villain, then boom! Pow! Woosh! He was down for the count! it was amazing! Done by someone as tall as a teenager!"

The voice was none other than the girl Izuku encountered yesterday.

Mina Ashido was in awe after the events that transpired the day before. She wasn't afraid to admit that she was mortified by the actions the criminal would have done.

She was ashamed that it had happened. she still thought about what happened, and she was scared. Terrified, even.

She was accompanied by her best friend Eijiro Kirishima, and her classmates at UA High. After what they heard from Mina they refused to leave her side in the event that what happened to her might happen again. Not that they didn't think she was capable.

They were just scared for her.

After being contacted by the police, somehow, her parents became borderline helicopter parents, making her promise to be with someone at all times, on top of having her promise to contact one of two parents, or both, when she left for school and when school let out.

Mina didn't like it, but she understood.

Eijiro was the first to speak up. "I just want to meet the man to save you! I'll give him the manliest handshake out of appreciation for saving my best friend!" several students agreed.

One student was very much unlike the rest.

"In your dreams, shitty hair. Raccoon Eyes over here was just too weak to deal with a piece of shit criminal. She probably couldn't hold her own in a fight with a god damn quirkless."

Said student, Bakugo Katsuki, brushed past them.

"And don't you think about attacking me, Shitty hair. If she wants to get attacked, let her." He skulked away.

When he was gone, Mina let the tears flow. While her friend Kaminari tried to comfort her, Kirishima glared in the direction his former friend left.

He doesn't have the right! The redhead resorted to calming his friend down. She needed him.

{Meanwhile}

"Yes, Of course detective, we'd be more than welcoming to any extra security you may offer. we are in your debt!" A small rodent like figure was finishing a phone call with our very special detective.

"Our date of the trip is in two days, we would be willing to have him watch over the students, detective. We do appreciate the help. Thank you so much, good bye now!" The figure placed his phone down and looked at the other two men in the room.

The rodent figure was the principal of the school, who looked Much like the combination of many animals. Nezu was pleased, to say the least. He addressed his two aquaintences in the room.

"We made a deal with the police department. We shall expect a little boost in security for our USJ trip. I've been told he's one of the best." Nexus clapped his paws together in glee. "I'm thankful our students will be safe."

"I agree." a lanky, blonde man nodded. "In my restricted form, I'm afraid I'm not going to be much of a help unless emergencies come up". He looked at the floor in disappointment.

The more silent man next to the blonde glared at his coworker. "So don't overexert your self, All Might. We're just lucky you're not completely incapacitated."

He turned to the principal. "When are we expecting to brief him, sir?" His tired eyes showed no room for conversation.

The rodent was quick to answer, knowing his previous student didn't like to lollygag. "Tomorrow at one, in here." He smiled.

Aizawa turned, grunting in acknowledment.

"And Shouto?" The tired man turned, eyebrow raised.

"Be on your best behaviour, I heard he's on the young side".

Izuku was running rooftops when he heard a ring. Answering it immediately, he was pleasantly surprised to hear his old friend detective on the line.

"Yell for low. what's up Nao."

"QL, hey. got a special assignment for you. I need you to go to UA tomorrow, meet me at the gates at One o'clock. you'll be debriefed on the job you'll be doing in two days. They're paying very well."

To this day, Naomasa swore he heard a cash register on the other end.

"How much?"

"I don't know, all I know is you're watching over a class of kids your age."

"You have another reason, don't you." Izuku was deadpan in his response. On one hand, protecting civilians he swore he'd always protect, on the other hand, he needs money to live.

Naomasa sighed. "For gods sake, you need to make friends, QL. you're fourteen years old. a grown man should not be your only friend." He knew he was getting grey hairs just from this conversation alone.

"Nao, we've already discussed this. I can't have many friends in this profession. I've made too many enemies. I can't have potential victims at risk." Izuku was about to hang up, when he heard a very important detail.

"I heard there'll be girls there." Oh, Izuku could just feel the smirk on the other end.

Izuku may have been a lone wolf, but he'll never turn down an opportunity to impress.

"Fine, but those girls better be cute"

Naomasa felt he won a bigger battle than he just fought in.

Smirking, he lit a cigarette.

Maybe now I can invite the other guys without a kid intruding on poker night. Naomasa got a text.

QL: I'm still coming over on poker nights, you won't stop me.

Naomasa sighed. God dammit.
