Love and Like

Shou slowly closed his eyes. He couldn't open them anymore. He had no strength to do anything. But he could hear the fake king mocking him and laughing at him. His strength became to an end. At his last breath , he couldn't think anything. However, Mei Shu's appearance came to his mind. He could see her face clearly in his mind. He smiled lightly. And he fainted.

Mei Shu's soldiers came at that time and they fought with the enemies. The battle was fierce. Mei Shu came there herself and she was stunned when she saw Shou lying on the ground unconscious. She immediately ran to him and lifted his head on her laps. Shou was pale and he was full of injuries. Mei Shu healed his injuries as fast as she can . The wounds stopped bleeding , however, he was still unconscious. The battle was also over and Mei Shu's soldiers won. Both sides suffered a lot however, the enemies suffered more. After the battle was over, Mei Shu ordered the soldiers to retreat and made funerals for the ones who gave their lives in the battle. Mei Shu also came back to the castle together with Shou. As soon as she arrived at the castle, she took Shou to his room and put him on bed.

She left Shou alone and went to her father, the king. The king was resting in his bedroom. Mei Shu went into his room and asked him," Father, how are you feeling? I am really sorry . I couldn't protect you well. " , while saying it, her tears fell down. The king sat up and patted Mei Shu's head saying , " Don't blame yourself. It isn't your fault. "

He conforted Mei Shu but Mei Shu's guilt didn't go away.

Mei Shu wiped her tears and continued saying," In this battle, many soldiers died and I've arranged funerals for them. If Shou wasn't there, I am afraid you and I am already dead by now, Father. "

The king grinned and said to Mei Shu, " You really are my daughter. You don't even have to say. You just want me to stop doubting that boy, do you?"

Mei Shu was quite embarrassed to hear that because what the king said was true. She wanted Shou and her father to have a great relationship.

At that time, a maid came and told Mei Shu that Shou has woken up. Mei Shu quickly went to Shou's room.

Shou woke up and found that he was his room. As soon as he woke up, he thought about Mei Shu and was worried for her.

" I am in my room peacefully but did she get any injuries? " , the thoughts filled his mind.

When he was just thinking, Mei Shu opened the door. Sne ran towards Shou and hugged him tightly. She said, " I was really worried. Please don't do anything that will be dangerous for your life anymore. I beg you."

Shou smiled lightly. He was happy to hear those words from her mouth.

Shou's POV

* I don't know how long I have been waiting for this moment. But as soon as I heard her words , my heart beats faster. I can't control them. Something inside me feels warm. "

Shou didn't know what to do anymore. But he unknowingly hugged Mei Shu back tightly. Mei Shu was quite shocked and surprised because of Shou's a sudden action. But she was happy too.

The birds outside the window were chirping. Not long after that, the sunset came. Mei Shu put on a new bandages to Shou's injuries.

After she finished, Shou asked her ; " Did you call the soldiers and help me at that time?"

Mei Shu nodded and smiled. Shou stared at Mei Shu without a blink but Mei Shu didn't notice it as she was putting the medical kit back in the place.

However, she felt that someone's staring at her so she looked back. But Shou stopped staring just in time before Mei Shu caught him.

In fact , Mei Shu knew that he was staring at her but she pretended like she didn't know.

Shou asked Mei Shu a question in a calm and serious tone from his bed : " What is the feeling of loving someone?"

Mei Shu was stunned for a second and then she sat down on Shou's bed and answered , " when you like someone, you will make her fall in love with you and some people woo the ones they like. But the meaning of Love and Like is different. "

Shou cut down her sentence and asked " How is it different? Aren't they the same? "

Mei Shu shook her head slightly and answered Shou's questions deeply , " It's very different. Liking is just like a crush. Your emotions may change. It's just a change of your heart and that person happened to be by your side when you were feeling it. So you developed feelings for him but as long as it doesn't come from the deepest of your heart , that emotions will change eventually. But love is different. You want to know everything about that person. You will be hurt if that person get angry about you. If that person is happy , then you will be happy. If that person is sad, you will also be sad. You just want that person to be happy even if you have to sacrifice everything you have. That's the meaning of love. It's totally different from love. Love can be used for your family too. "

After she finished her explanation, Mei Shu took a glance at Shou and found that he was deep in thoughts. She didn't want to disturb him so she stayed quiet. A few minutes passed. Shou came back to his senses. He looked at Mei Shu but she was already asleep.

" Love huh? " , Shou thought, " I feel like I've never known about it. Why? Just what is my origin? "

Shou stopped thinking and carried Mei Shu to her bedroom. He put her on bed and returned to his room.

" Liquor , I want to drink some.", Shou thought, " I am stressed now. " , Shou sighed.
