Shou avoid Mei Shu

Mei Shu was happy to hear that. They decided to stay there and spend some time. The moment was quite except the heartbeats of two people. Shou could hear Mei Shu's heartbeat clearly and as well as Mei Shu, she could hear Shou's heartbeat.

" Anyways, do you not want to make some friends? I mean I am not always free so you might be alone." , Mei Shu said in a serious voice. Shou chuckled and replied, " You are quite dumb sometimes. I am not lonely you know. Moreover, I feel warm here. The feelings I feel here aren't familiar to me. It's just like I've been felt that before. So I am glad to be here. Maybe I should even thank you for bringing me here, " saying that he smiled.

Mei Shu was startled for a second but she came back to her senses later. However, she didn't say anything. In fact , she was thinking what to say.

" I didn't expect him to be like this. Just now, he said that he is happy here and now he is saying he hasn't felt that feeling before. That means he wasn't happy in the past. I never wanted to know about his past because as long as he is he, then it is okay. But now this is different. I want to know about his past and I want to erase his bad memories and make him smile and happy. " , Mei Shu thought.

Mei Shu cleared her throat and said to Shou with a smile, " Past is past. We can't do anything about the past. So just continue your future life happily. Do your best in everything. It doesn't matter what others think. As long as you think you did your best and you have no regret then it will be okay. But don't do anything that you will regret."

Shou smiled and nodded. " Let's go back " , he said.

They returned to the castle and separated at the gate. Mei Shu went to do her job and Shou went to his room again.

" I feel more relaxed after spending time with her." , while thinking about Mei Shu, Shou's heart beat faster and faster.

Shou's POV

* I've never felt like that. My heart is gonna explode if this goes on. Just what is happening? Am I in love with Mei Shu?? I don't want it to happen. She and I are like heaven and earth. We aren't possible. If I can't control my feelings well, this may also affect Mei Shu somehow. I can't let this happen. I am a guy who don't have any future dream or ambition. But it's different for Mei Shu. She still has her kingdom to protect. She still has wishes to fulfil. I don't want her to be taken down together with me. *

From then on, Shou tried his best to control his feelings for Mei Shu. He started to avoid her. He'd go out if Mei Shu is in the castle. He'd stay in the castle if Mei Shu goes out. Even if he met Mei Shu by accident, he would just greet her , ask her if she is okay and then find a excuse to go away.

But Mei Shu is not dumb after all. She knew that Shou has been avoiding her. She was busy with the preparations for coming war. As a result , she couldn't pay attention to Shou much.

Mei Shu's POV

* I have been busy lately and can't pay attention to Shou like before. But everytime I go find him and greet him, he would always greet me back and then say that he has something to do. Of course I know that he is just avoiding me. But I want to know the reason. He was totally fine when we had a proper conversation last time near the waterfall. Is it because I don't spend time with him like before? Is he angry? I tried my best to find out the reason. But nothing would come out. I honestly don't want him to avoid me. In this castle, although I am the Princess and everyone respect me, it's not free to live here. I have to pay attention to my image of a Princess always. My sister is always in the battlefield and dad and mom are busy too. I have always been myself since young. He is the first one to treat me like a normal person. But now why is he avoiding me? I don't want to be avoided.*

Mei Shu's tears fall down and she cried silently in her room. After crying for some time, she made up her mind and decided to ask Shou straightforward. She went to find Shou in his room and as she expected, Shou was in his room sitting on bed reading books.

Mei Shu came into his room without knocking and stood in front of Shou. Shou looked up and asked why she is here. Mei Shu clenched her fist and answered, " I am not here for no reason. I came to ask something."

Shou looked at her with a confused face. Mei Shu continued, " Why are you avoiding me?? Did I do anything wrong?? Are you ignoring me because I don't spend time with you anymore?? You need to give a reasonable explanation." , Mei Shu's tears came out while she was saying. She didn't hold back a bit and let all the words that she has always wanted to tell out.

However, Shou didn't say anything and reamined quiet. He looked down and didn't have any face to look at Mei Shu.

Mei Shu was angrier by his action. She shouted, " WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS HIDING THINGS??!! YOU COULD JUST TELL ME!! DO YOU NOT SEE ME AS A FRIEND?? AM I JUST A STRANGER?!! "

Mei Shu was crying hard. Shou didn't want to say anything. He couldn't say that he loves her. But for Mei Shu, she didn't want Shou to keep his problems himself. She wanted him to share them together with her. After all, she treated Shou as her close friend after Sun Ying.
