Chap 25. Evaluation?

With that, the two sat on the couch, Astro ended up with his head resting on Theo's lap and falling asleep while Theo watched him with a subconscious smile appearing on his face.

The day passed quickly as the two stayed seated in the couch, Theo eventually fell asleep in the same upright position as before.

Edith came back and made Astro's bed with the newly cleaned sheets and she woke both of them up before sending them to have a shower, IN THEIR OWN ROOMS! And then she left them to sleep wherever they wanted.

They ended up cuddling up in Astro's bed with the air-conditioning on since it was pretty hot.

The sun rose and they did their normal routine of Edith banging on the door and them eventually joining their family for breakfast, except this time all the maids, gardeners, cooks, etc, were there.

Theo was pretty timid but mustered up his courage to talk with the maidens, it was a pretty calming morning with luckily no chaos.

Astro managed to convince Tommy to come with them to the shopping centre so he could get Theo clothes and also had to convince his parents to allow them to go.

They obviously ended up being persuaded since Theo helped beg.

Theo also helped Astro dress which took some time and he of course made them match.

Their outfits were to die for! Astro wore a black leather jacket with a phoenix on the back whilst Theo wore a red leather jacket that exact same phoenix on the back.

He also wore black pants whilst Astro wore red pants, they both had a chain coming from the pocket of the jeans to the pocket of the leather jacket, their shirts were plain with Astro's being black and Theo's being red.

To complete the look he put on a hat that covered his patchy head, he also gave Astro a hat and they both had the same style shoes with Astro's being red and Theo's being black.

Tommy was stunned when he saw their matching outfits and noted in his mind that they were definitely a couple, there was no doubt!

After a long hour, they finally arrived at their destination being a huge shopping centre with hundred of thousands of people walking in and out!

It was a sight to behold!

Theo gasped since he had never seen so many people, Tommy directed them through the crowd and towards a deserted elevator, they went up about 10 levels before they reached the right level.

Theo was gasping as he saw the beautiful view from the elevator, it was truly magnificent in the morning!

Tommy guided them through the huge floor that was almost void of people, completely different from outside. He took them to a small clothing shop that had all sorts of clothes, all of the clothing was beautiful and the material of it all was just amazing!

Theo was speechless as he browsed through the clothing, he was practically drooling!

"Get whatever you like, I'll pay with spirit stones." Astro called out as Tommy led him to a seat within the shop, Theo's eyes were wide when he heard Astro's statement.

Spirit stones?! That is the highest level of payment! It took a whole lifetime to even save up enough for one spirit stone! And that's even if your a noble!

Theo almost puked at the thought of how many years it took for them to save up some spirit stones, yet Astro said he would spend them on him!

A poor peasant boy! Who he had just met 3 days ago!

What is going on with the world!

He immediately stopped browsing and walked over to where Astro was seated, "No, I can not spend your spirit stones! Absolutely not!" He stated with a stern voice.

Astro was slightly stunned from the sudden voice but calmed down in about a second, "Why?" He questioned Theo.

Theo almost vomited blood! 'Did he really just ask why?!!!' He thought, the vein on his forehead almost popped from Astro's question.

"What do you mean why?! Spirit stones take years to even get! Even a lifetime! I cannot and will not use your spirit stones!" Astro listened to his explanation and nodded his head in understanding.

In the end, he replied with, "Did you forget what I said earlier, we are close with the Royal family therefore we earn more than other nobles. We actually have thousands of spirit stones to spend, maybe even millions! So spending a little bit on someone i like doesn't seem wrong, does it?" He explained slowly, his tone was soft and Theo finally understood why they spent spirit stones so casually.

"Bu-", "No buts! Now go get some clothing! Then after that we can get you evaluated." Astro commented as he shooed Theo away.

Theo sighed and eventually gave up on convincing Astro, in the end he went back to browsing clothing but this time he checked the price tags, sadly all the price tags had atleast 10 spirit stones that needed to be spent on the item and Theo could only sigh.

Thinking about the money only gave him a headache to so instead, he immersed himself in shopping and picked out 10 outfits, then he also chose 3 matching outfits that he could wear with Astro.

He made sure to get his own size and Astro's own size, he didn't need to get Astro up to try it on since he only needed to check the size he was currently wearing.

But he had to try on the new clothes to get the right size, unsurprisingly, he was a small whilst Astro was a large.

The store also gave undergarments so he went on to getting underwear that would fit himself.

If I were to be honest the shopping took 3 hours and Astro had fallen asleep within the first hour, Theo had to shake him awake so he would wake up!

Astro paid without even batting an eyelid at the cost of it all and Theo shivered when he saw the cost, overall, it was 235 spirit stones!

Now, you may be wondering why spirit stones were so costly, although they are the highest form of money, its also because they can upgrade ones ability.

I say ability, because you only get one ability in life, the poor naturally don't know about their abilities since no one had ever told them about it, so how did Theo know?

Let's just say, he was a wanderer, he wandered everywhere and gathered knowledge that some people may not even know about.

Also, abilities? Confusing right! Yes, you have unknowingly started reading a book about bl and magic! Muahaha!

All people born in this era are giving one ability on their 17th birthday! Astro's, well let's not mention his.. Meanwhile Theo wasn't even 17 yet.

Tommy's was abnormal strength and you'll find out Maria's and Zachary's later.

What Astro meant by 'evaluation' is: Theo can actually get told about his ability before actually gaining the ability, after all, the ability is given on your 17th birthday since that is when you personality, attitude, and everything is set! Therefore, your ability corresponds with your life!

It could honestly be anything! There is no 'pass on from generation to generation' since everyone has their own life! They have their own opinions and everything!

No person is the same as another!

But, it is also known that you may loose your ability. You see, your ability chooses you, not the other way around.

The ability is just made for you, but when you change your ways or even hate your own ability, why would it stay? Obviously it wouldn't, it'll leave you powerless and useless as it searches for a new human being that correctly corresponds with its own attitude.

Oh right, abilities are also living, they grow with their human so if the human gets stronger than the power will get stronger, but if the human gets weaker than the ability will get weaker.

Honestly, you could get a mutation, gain super hearing, super strength, invisibility, mind control, raging fire, anything!

But enough about abilities, Astro was currently holding Theo's arms as Tommy guided them through the mall again.

"Hm, we almost there yet Tommy?" Astro questioned as he yawned.

"Nope." And another 10 minutes of walking followed..
