Chap 27. Public Display Of Affection

"Drunkards." Astro murmured, little did he know they both heard him and their heads snapped in his direction with death being considered.

Meanwhile, Theo was currently in what looked to be a fantasy world. Unlike what he thought, it was just a dream, the environment you dream of normally gives a small hint on what your ability will be.

An example would be, if your environment is extremely hot, then your ability may have to do with fire, but if the emotion rage is what you feel than your ability will probably be emotion controlled.

Luckily, Theo's emotions didn't flare which immediately told him that he didn't have a emotion controlled ability, and thank the lords for that.

Theo's dream world was actually a mountain with a cave, there was a massive drop just 8 feet from the cave and the wind was so heavy that it would knock anyone off their feet. Theo could only thank the gods that this was all just a dream and he wouldn't actually go flying.

"Wow.. So this is my dream world.. its so calming and peaceful here.." Theo commented as he looked at the beautiful view from the upraised rock.

He stood there and stared at the view for a few minutes before finally deciding on going into the dark cave, luckily the cave didn't look dangerous and this was only a dream or else he would be running in the other direction.

He turned away from the view and finally stepped foot in the cave, along the walls were symbols that he felt he had seen before.

He touched the symbols will great curiosity, he slowly outlined a few symbols before his mind recognised the symbol.

"This is a symbol from that mercenary guild, I used to trade by belongings there. And that symbol is a symbol of an orphanage, that one's a bar.." His mind kept recognising all the symbols, he was soon information overloaded as he touched his head since there was a headache creeping up on him.

As he got deeper into the cave lesser symbols were there but those symbols held the most importance, they were all places he would frequently visit.

"What does this mean.. all these places.. their all across the state.. so what does it mean? The cave, the wind, the view, the symbols, everything." He tried to piece everything together and that's when it happened.

He was suddenly hit by something, a rock? No. Then what? He was in a cave, what else would be in a cave that fell from the roof other than rocks?

Theo slowly looked up, his eyes adjusted to the minimal light inside the wave and he could slightly make out the figure of something. The thing was small.. and was hanging from the roof..

"Bats.." And just like that, a whole swarm of bats suddenly flew at him.

He was startled for a few seconds before he finally jumped into action, he started walking backwards but then turned and started running the fastest he could!

His heart was racing and the entrance slowly drew closer, he turned his head but could still see the huge swarm flying after him.

He kept running until he finally reached the outside of the cave, he was on the edge of the cliff when he turned around.

Little did he know that that action would cause a whole lot of fear since the bats flew out of the cave and right at him!

Their small bodies pushed him closer to the edge of the cliffside, his arms were raised as he tried to dodge the swarm but it was all useless.

One last bat, just one.

The last bat flew at him in a rush, Theo had his eyes closed and arms raised so he didn't realize that he was on the very edge of cliff.

The bat hit him in the face and he stumbled backwards..

Stumbles backwards where though?.. Into the clouds..

His body flew backwards and through the fluffy clouds, his screams echoed through the dream world as small birds flew past him.

Unlike in the dream world where he was screaming, in the real world his body was sweating.

His temperature rose so fast that one would think that he had been dipped in boiling water!

Callum, who was drinking without worries had coincidentally looked over at Theo and saw the sweat on his forehead.

"Welp, time to bring him out." He commented as he walked over to Theo in an unrushed manner, it would seem like this was a daily occurrence to him.

Normally, he was meant to bring the patient out of the dream when they started showing sweating or anything else, but when he was walking over to Theo something unusual happened.

"AHHHHHHH!" Screamed Theo as he jolted up from the bed, his hands were clenching the sheets as beads of sweat fell down his forehead.

He was panting non-stop as he quickly checked his surroundings, one minute he was falling and was about to hit the ground and now he was in a bed!

"What.." Callum muttered in disbelief, this wasn't as things were meant to go!

Astro had been startled awake by the sudden screaming and subconsciously reached out in Theo's direction, "Shh, your okay.." He murmured in a husky voice, he was slightly croaky from the sleep but his voice was still smooth.

"Heh huh hugh.. " Theo huffed out, his eyes immediately seeked out Astro's body which was currently curled up in a ball as he held onto his arm gently.

"Astro.. wake up!" Theo called out, his emotions were all over the place and he felt that only Astro would be able to calm him down.

And just like he suspected, Astro opened his eyes and slowly sat upright, "eghh, your finally awake..?" Astro questioned, Theo only gave a shaky laugh as he pulled Astro towards himself and hugged him like he had been separated for far too long.

"Huhhh, i missed you.." He said, he was clearly very needy right now.

"Wow.. I've never seen someones attitude change so quick, you go from screaming and panting to mushy mushy and softy.." Callum commented as he walked over towards them.

"Well, it is indeed surprisingly that you woke up by yourself and it's the first time this had happened so is it alright if I question you?" Callum asked politely, he needed answers to his questions because this was very unusual and definitely wasn't meant to occur.

"Ask away.." Theo agreed as he held Astro close. Astro only cuddled into his embrace as he closed his eyes, and just like that sleep welcomed him back.

Theo subconsciously smiled as he felt Astro drift back into wonderland, his body went slack as his head rested on Theo's shoulder.

"So cute.." Theo murmured as he looked at Astro with a lovingly gaze.

Callum only watched the loving couple with disgust, he wasn't a fan of affection in public and he subconsciously made a gagging action.

It wasn't that he hated them, or gay couples, its just because he doesn't have his own wife and looking at this couple made him feel extremely single.

And truth be told, which single person would like watching a couple express their love to eachother so openly? None.

Meanwhile, Theo immediately called him out when he gagged, "Are you single Uncle Callum?" He questioned with his head slightly turned as he bore his gaze through Callum's head.

Callum only froze, 'fuck..' Was his only thought.
