Chapter 1 - Character creation

After the goddess managing life and death disappeared, I was left alone standing in the white space.

Okay, the goddess left. I can panic freely now.

What the actual heck. That's a real goddess, that's a real goddess!

Based on the situation, I can't unlock the goddess route without exploding into soul powder, and even if I get a soul strong enough, I need to build up my relationship!

Hmm, I think I know what to do...

Looks like there's no way I can have the goddess route unlocked. A majestic pity.

Let's get into serious business.

Hmm.. Even if I analyze all of the knowledge I have for transmigration and the sort, I don't think the general clichés apply for my situation.

I don't have any cheats, my previous body is totally gone, and I can only survive for two weeks max if I use the package the goddess guaranteed me.

This is a chance for another life, and I should take it seriously from here.

I think I should start from the character creation window plastered on my vision.

This should be my base character, and the starting point of my stats for my new body.

It's interesting how every stats are all on ten. I don't know if it's because I'm in my soul form, or just because it's convenient to write for them?

That doesn't change anything though.

I looked at the small icon that is flickering on the top of the window and tapped on it.

A small status window popped out.

Character points should be the points needed for my character creation? A very obvious thing.

The question is, how should I use these points?

I remember miss goddess talking about questioning the system, so I should do it.

I stared at the status window.

'How can I use the character points?'

No response.

'Hello? Anyone there? Soul to system, soul to system, are you there?'

...

Still no response.

Huh. Did something wrong happen with the system? I don't think miss goddess is lying though...

Let's try other methods.

It took me about three minutes of silly actions before I realized my mistakes.

It seems that the system can't read my thoughts.

"How can I use the character points?"

The usual status window appeared to answer my long desired question.

[Click the individual stat to raise it. There should be a window that will appear once you tap on it]

Huh. I guess that's fair.

I don't know the average status of a normal human in the other world, so I'm currently on blind fold here.

Fortunately, there's the system. It should be able to answer my questions as long it's not troublesome.

"System, what's the average status of a normal human male in the other world?"

Hmm... Converting the points to use for a normal male human should take about 55 character points when subtracting the magic attack and defence and adding it on the character points.

I can still have 45 character points to spare if I use this template of a male human, but I think I'm going to need magic defence and attack sooner or later.

Oh right. I'm curious.

"What's about a female?"

Somehow, I think that being a female in that other world would be better than a male..

What's with those stats. That's almost on the reach of my character points. What the heck.

Are females magicians? No, let's not judge too early.

The clear thing I know right now is that males have physical advantages, while females have magical advantages.

Neat. Can I be androgynous? balance them both?

Well, it's technically possible, if I balance things into their positions.

I won't do that though.

I need physical fitness, or I'll not survive if there's monsters or something dangerous to run from.

Based on my knowledge from various web and light novels, the common dropping points for an otherworlder like me should be the forest.

And a world with a system like this should be filled with monsters. I think.

It doesn't hurt to try though.

Dying the moment I drop off would be embarrassing and a waste of a new life.

With that, I started adding points on my stats.

I left the magic attack and defence on default ten, and just focused on adding health and physical stats.

I focused on agility and dexterity, since I plan to be a Swordsman, then health and both physical attack and defence.

The status should be like this,

Oh man, I'm definitely going to forget those average stats for the male and female if I'm going to see this stat everytime I open my status window.

Not a problem, since it's just the average, and can change by time and conditions.

Now that I'm finished with the stats, the only thing to think of is a new name for myself.

New world, new name. That should be obvious, because I want to sound cool when I'm because called upon! Well.

Or not.

I picked a very normal name.

Oh well, too late for me to change it.

I also tried to check on my skills, but it looks like I'm not allowed to pick my powers as a headstart.

How troublesome.

No cheats, disabled blessings, no guaranteed safe landing, and not even pre-installed skills for me.

I sighed.

I think my new life in another world would be as average as it is...
