The Star Sovereign (1st Pov)

"Fuck! You piece of shit! Argh...To think that it took you this long to scar me! Hahaha! You should be proud of yourself Star Sovereign, you can die happy now that you've scratch me! HAHAHAHAHA!"


Amidst the sound of stars collapsing, the Star Sovereign yells at the empty void. The frustration and resentment that grew within him was being poured out. "Tch! I was so close and yet...She got stronger again!! Damn it, I'm a failure. I've not only failed to protect my people and my domain...I've even failed to avenge them!! Why? Why am I so weak?!?"


His life bound enemy, the Black Serpent Empress only stares at him in silence. On the surface she looks cold, but deep down within her, she's enjoying the Star Sovereign's mental breakdown. Her favorite hobby was to see the Star Sovereign break down and bawl his eyes out at his every defeat. This also marks the 99th time she had seen the Star Sovereign break.


"Hehehe...No matter how many times I see you break down, I still find it amusing...Hehehe....So, are you ready to die now?? This...should be the last star soul you possess so if I kill you now, I won't be worrying about you coming back in the future."


"I...will avenge...everybody ...I promise," the Star Sovereign gritted his teeth as his vision slowly blurred and his face smashed onto the ground.


"Oh shut up, you've vowed yourself to avenge your friends and family 100 times already...And not once have you accomplished this...Just give it up, Star Sovereign...Just die already." The Empress sneered. "Goodbye, Star Sover—No, goodbye Starfall."
