Walking down the streets with vague thoughts and unknown figures clouding his mind, his face looked blank like he had nothing on his mind. Ren was on this way to his new countryside school. His hair was sticking out looking like they haven't been combed properly, the blue cotton shirt sticking to his stomach due to sweat dripping down his body.
If someone saw him from a long distance it might almost seem like he is not moving at all, even though he was indeed taking small steps, trying to control his breathing as he moved forward. He wasn't in the mood to wake up this early, nor did he wish to have a long run due to a street dog near the 'MARTIN'S SHOP'. But his landlady who was more like a caretaker wasn't planning to let him be late on his first day to his new school.
''hey! " he heard a sweet high pitched voice calling him from behind. He did; not bother to turn around as he was already familiar with the honey-coated voice.
"Hey Nia," Ren said not paying much attention.
Nia walked closer to him and signed, "Why do you look like a freaking ghost this early in the morning?
Ren did not bother to respond to that and just kept walking forward mindlessly.
But, Nia pushed him from behind causing him to stumble on his feet, giving her an irritated look and a "tch".
He was almost about to hit her back in vengeance but, something caught his eyes.
And he stopped in his tracks. His face paler than before, hands sweating buckets with Nia standing there trying to understand what exactly caused this boy to become so nervous.
''T-he Sh-sh-adow " Ren stuttered before running at his full potential towards the road leading to their school.
