CHAPTER 7

Dried tears were painted on ren's face and a quiet sniffle could be heard. Nia decided to let ren calm down first before she starts showering him with questions.

" I am sorry nia you had to bear with me "

Nia nodded her head and patted his back.

" I was kidnapped and taken to an unidentifiable location; there were many kids around my age" Ren started.

Nia did not bother to ask him for further explanation, as she understood he needs some time to open up.

Ren saw this curiosity in Nia's eyes but decided to break the silence,

"Thank you for understanding nia, I will take my leave I wish I could tell you everything soon" WITH THIS REN GOT UP TO LEAVE.

but nia grabbed his arm

" Just know that if you ever feel like talking to someone, you can always count on me " a warm smile flashing on her face.

Ren smiled weakly with a nod, proceeding to leave her house in hurry.

The house looked more of a haunted palace than a farmhouse, leaves on the ground, a shirt and a trouser hung onto a metal wire in the yard left for drying, which had already dried.

To others, It seemed like no one visited the place in years but to ren, it was his 'HOME' . Something that was so precious to him now had turned into such a nightmare.

he was sweating buckets, he shakily opened the front door and tiptoed into the house.

He decides to go straight upstairs to his room without making any unnecessary sounds but to his dismay,

"Where were you ?" a deep husky voice asked; it wasn't a very friendly tone more of an inquiry

Ren was expecting it nonetheless, he quickly dropped to his feet and bowed

" W~as doing some school work," ren said; he sounded scared as he knew he was lying.

"Are you sure of it young boy?"

a chill ran down his spine due to the men's voice, he was shaking by now

A Smirk appeared on the man's face.
