#11: The Human World(Pt.1)

I hit my head, I could feel the throb driving me crazy, I opened my eyes, I was staring into a vast green forest of sorts, not as bright as the one in the Elf region, but a bit more dull green, the sky was slightly pinkish and seemed like a vast blanket, with fluffy cotton like clouds, I hit my head on a stone as I fell, I think, I looked around, I was in human world! Finally.

The air was a bit weird, the feeling felt new.

I looked around for the little rabbit, but instead, there was a boy, a little boy, blond hair with green lowlights, he was wearing a big green robe which was clearly like a nightgown to him, he had a single gold ring onto his pinky finger, unlike the robe this was well fitted. Is this guy a human?

He looked so peaceful while he slept that my heart felt bad at the thought of trying to wake him,

Where is the rabbit though? I got up to look for it, bit for miles there was only forest, we were in the middle of a field of sorts, with forest starting from a bit further, the grass below us was fresh as though they were recently planted, I walked a bit around and I noticed that I was a bit different from my usual self, my hair turned from being dark red to pitch black, it was longer than I remember, I looked at myself, instead of a dress, I was wearing a.. bluish pants? with a black shirt, with gold buttons... is this some kind of a feature? But it was cool.

I saw that my bag was still with me, I took out a small mirror from it, my face looked the same but I had a weird shaped earing on my left ear, a single star, black with gold border, dangly one. It was not that stylish, but it was okay.

I took out a bottle of blood, I felt thirsty, I drank a bit and put it back, I even had a bottle of water, so I tried to wake the boy up, but then there was huge loud noise like metal screeching, it was approaching us, I looked at the forest for any sort of animal or human attack, but nothing, the loud noise grew louder that I went towards the boy to wake him up, I tried speaking but my voice wouldn't come out, before I could do anything, a big metal carriage suddenly appeared in front of us from above, it was filled with some weirdly dressed men shouting through some black boxes. From the middle came, a guy, fully dressed in black, a perfect suit with a silver cross symbol upon his tie. He didn't seem dangerous, but mysterious.

He came towards us, lifting his sunglasses and looked at me, his gaze trying to judge me, he spoke something.

"أهلا, "

he said, in some language I didn't understand.

I just stared at him with my eyes clearly saying 'I don't know what you speaking man'

."هل يمكن أن تفهمني? "

He asked something, but still didn't understand what he said....

"Do u speak English? ", he asked.

I nodded my head in reply.

" Who are you? You must not be locals since you can't speak Arabic.. Show me your passports. " he said.

Passport? What's that? Arabic? I just stared at him.

"No passports? Illegal migration also requires your identification... ", he said, getting annoyed and putting a sort of stick in his mouth and burning it.

" What.. is.. a.. passport?", I could somehow manage.

" A passport is a sort of identification which shows which country you belong to. ", he said.

" I don't have. ", I said

He looked at me once again tilting his head down and then he looked at the guy, he tried to touch him but I wanted to protect that young boy from this suspicious guy

" Talk with me. ", I said

" Your friend? ", he asked.

" Family. " I said.

he looked again at me with a weird stare and said something in the same weird language, and asked them something. The guys started talking in black boxes again and went away.

The boy moved slightly, mumbled and again slept. The guy now looked at me a bit more fiercely and said, "Runaways? ",

" Yes, but I don't remember where I am from.. only that we both are family. ", I lied.

" It could be short-term amnesia. But you are now standing at a very scary location, you must choose, stay here and be discovered by government or come with me. ", he said.

" But how can I trust you? ", I asked.

" You can't trust either, but you have already seen me, and the government is very much deeper organization than mine, so... choose my dear. ", he told blowing out smoke from his mouth.

" You. ", I said, though I could be wrong, if I was wrong I would just kill him, I could feel my magic still working, though a bit more slower, I would have jumped out of this area on command but something was stopping my magic.

" Very well, let's go then before we are found out. ", he said and the same kind of metal vehicle came descending but with less sound and more better condition than the previous one.

" Come, get your brother too", he shouted.

"Yes.", I carried him, somehow he was light.

"put these on. ", he shouted again. I could hear him perfectly fine, he didn't have to shout. He gave me a sort of headpiece, which the ones driving were wearing.

after wearing it, I could communicate a bit more easily, with no background noise.

" So, are you from Asia or Europe or America? " he asked.

"I don't remember.. I may remember soon. ", I said. I remember those weird names from the book Nyx gave me.

" Hmm, why he is so deep in sleep? ", he asked.

" I guess he is tired, we were running from somewhere and we fell, and we forgot. ", I said.

" His name? ", he asked.

" Jade. ", I said.

" Jade? Hmm... Well okay. Pilot, back to airport and quick. ", he said and quickly went to checking some black book of sorts, but the pictures were moving.

It seemed like a communication device as he used to talk, which even has a sort of entertainment section. I tried my best not to stare but it was kind of attractive. I was a bit... no a lot afraid about what was going to happen.

It soon came to stop, when I saw a new thing, a kind of flat ground, with a sort of birdlike vehicle, which can be used to fly called airplanes, thank god I was raised to learn about things as you see them or I would be too dumbstruck at this sight and not understand how this world works.

We were led to a smaller one, probably the most cheapest one considering people were being sorted in classes by riches.

The few things I got sorted out were. ..

1. humans don't use magic

2. They have various currencies which can be exchanged but to different rates.

3.Richness and politicians hold power, few royalty hold strong political power.

4.In compensation for magic they have various other inventions to fulfill needs and give luxury.

5.Last that no one trusts each other. No one. Except for families. I haven't seen much, but the people near the airport were like that.

It was bit tiring and I slept again, I was woken up to have a meal, a 'sandwich' with a glass of milk? Jade hadn't yet gotten up. He was still sleeping, I was sad that I didn't find the rabbit, but it struck me, what if? the rabbit was actually a were rabbit? The lady was trying to wake him up and came near him, when he almost got up, a fresh smell of ocean and forest mint spread across the plane in contrast to the metal like smell.

All fell asleep except me, Jade got up, rubbing his eyes and locking it with mine

"Hey.", I tried talking but he fainted again and fell asleep.

All got up and the smell disappeared, I acted like I had passed out too, somehow no one remembers what happened... Jade did something, just who is he? were rabbits are courtesans, with their only skill being good appearance and magic to intoxicate creatures and not this powerful.... Who is he??

We soon landed ,my ears were paining, as if a balloon got stuck in it which wanted to burst.

"First time flying? ", He asked.

" Yes, I guess. ", I replied carrying Jade who was also squirming a bit.

" Hmm, chew on this. ", he said giving me a sort of a sweet, it was chewable ,chocolate flavored candy.

"Mmm, it... works. ", I said feeling a bit relief, I put one in Jade's mouth he too chewed it slowly.

" Very Well. ", he said leading us into a big black car.

" You haven't told us your name? ", I said.

" It's a social norm that the lower ones must introduce themselves first. ", he said.

" Excuse me? I ain't lower! ", I said.

" Mmhmm, I was joking, you didn't say yours so I thought you preferred it that way... I apologize, I am Caesar Storm. ", he said.

" Caesar Storm? Well, you know Jade, I am Amber. ", I said.

" Then, Welcome Amber to my abode. ", he led me as we stopped in a very big mansion, not big than my home, the palace but big enough considering the small box like ones we passed by.

" So, Amber, my dear, your age? ", he asked.

" Say yours first. ", I demanded to know what I must lie as.

" 35.", he said

"18." I said

"Ah that would explain your rudeness. ", he said sitting on a peculiar chair and sipping hot tea.

" Rude?? 18 doesn't mean rude. ", I said.

" Yes yes, I know better than to argue with a teen", he said saying something to the servants.

"Ok miss Amber, I suggest you fresh up, my servants will show you where to and I will call a doctor for the boy. ", He told.

"Alright.", I said, keeping Jade on a bed, they showed me. I followed the servant to a large room.

I knew I was trusting the human way too much, but what can a human do at most? I am way stronger. Though being a human is noble, they ain't powerful. If this man acts funny, I guess I have to kill him.
