Chapter 5: Grasping Ki

A day later...

(Kakarot POV)

I don't know why but it seems that there is something more than just being a Saiyan. Something more than just getting stronger which is natural but I can't help but feel like there is something deeper within me. It is almost like something wants to get out and it feels almost animalistic and at the same time pleasant for some reason. Is it partially because of my tail?

From what I remember from what I assume is my past life is that with my tail, I could transform into something like a giant-like ape if I took a look into the full moon. Maybe It'll be something different from the depictions I've seen during the past few weeks since mother brought me here after the incubation pod process was over.

If I'm going to get stronger to fight the universal threats within this Universe, I might as well train my tail to become some sort of lethal weapon that no one would suspect. And before I do that, I have to get rid of it's weakness so that way mother wouldn't grab it so damn hard and my body would not freeze up in the process.

Speaking of which, today is my official first day of training with mother, and I think she's going to teach me how to use my ki or something and I can't help but feel a but excited for this opportunity.

(3rd Person POV)

Nira approaches Kakarot's room as she then knocks on the door showing that it is time for them to start their training session since she is going to teach him to use his ki since she plans to visit her old time friends who happen to be her neighbors.

"Kakarot! It's time!" Nira shouts out while waiting for Kakarot to open the door. He does so as he can seen wearing his armor that he received from before they left the Sadala Medical facility.

"Alright mother I'm ready to train." He says while walking past her without noticing the look of discreet she is giving him just as she senses something different about him.

'Why does his power feel stronger than before? Could it be?' While thinking of the potential theories as to how Kakarot suddenly had gotten stronger compared to yesterday not noticing the impatient look she's getting from him.

"Mother what are you thinking about?" Nira then snaps out of her thoughts seeing that Kakarot has been waiting for her to guide him outside to a spot where they can start their training session.

"Nothing, just follow me; I know a good place where I can train you to become a proficient fighter incase if you go up against several opponents." Grabbing Kakarot in her arms, she then flies out the door as she looks for a spot to begin his training session.

A couple minutes later...

Landing in a spot where there is no trees or any landscapes, Nira then puts Kakarot at a certain distance away from her down on the ground before marking down certain spots.

"Alright first things first, to explain what this training session is about in simple terms, I'm basically going to teach you how to draw the energy within you. Allow me to show you a demonstration."

Nira then crouches down at a certain angle clenching her fists while manifesting a bright white aura; Kakarot then begins to notice that everything around them is beginning to shake intensely showing how strong his mother truly is.

Her hand then begins to light up with a silver-like tone to it as she aims it towards the sky and all of sudden she launches a very powerful blast of ki into the sky and it explodes once it hits a mountain in the distance causing the rocks around them to fly everywhere.

Kakarot looks at this with a sense of awe and excitement while thinking of what he can do with a technique like that as he tries to imitate it.

Nira then turns to look at Kakarot and to her surprise, she can see that he is actually using her ki technique without her explaining about the concept of ki! He launches a blast into the sky although not as powerful but the end results are still devastating.

'Huh to think that just from first glance at me using my Tycoon Silver Impact, he actually managed to grasp a hold onto his own ki and launched his own version of the attack I displayed.' Nira thinks with slightly widen eyes at the unfathomable potential of Kakarot with the fact that it took her years to develop that technique.

"Kakarot how did you do that exactly?" Questioning for an explanation, Nira couldn't help but ask.

Kakarot just shrugs his shoulders and replies with "Don't know it just felt natural for me to attempt it." which causes Nira to have a sweat drop forming on her head at his blunt answer.

"Well at least you learned something even though I haven't explained it but you already got the gist of it so the only thing I can recommend for you is to do meditation in order to expand your ki reserves so you can last longer in battle." Nira explains with Kakarot nodding while scratching his head since this is still entirely new for him.

"Alright since you know how to use an attack like that, you shouldn't have any trouble flying now." Before Kakarot could respond she immediately takes off into the air as Kakarot instinctively jumps into the air not noticing that he is flying while chasing her down on their way home.
