March 8th.

Pallet Town.

The previous day's festivities have come to an end.

It was both a fun time, and a side time for Ricky. He had truly learned to love this humble town. He no longer saw it as a second home away from his home. He had fully accepted his second chance at life. He was Ricky Oak, the older brother of Gary Oak, and the first grandson of Professor Oak! He was brought into the Pokemon World under a home of Champions!

Just with that aspect alone, a heavy pressure was placed on Ricky! Many eyes were already sizing him up once he began his journey. This included Kanto's very own Elite Four!

Ricky's grandfather, Professor Oak once sat upon the Champion's throne. So did Ricky's dad for a brief period of time. There were likely more figures in the Oak Family that had accomplished such feats. Ricky had big aspirations for this journey!

Ricky wondered if this was intentional by God, as he recalled God mentioning he would be brought into the Oak Family. Well, either way, Ricky was an avid Pokemon fan in his previous life. And now he could experience his very own adventure!

And the best part? He wouldn't be doing this alone. Ricky's two lovely girlfriends, Serena and Lillie would be accompanying him! They all loved each other dearly ever since their relationship started. In fact, just last night, they all took a step further together, and deepened their bonds.

Both of his girlfriends quickly learned that Ricky's body was abnormal, and the harem life would likely carry on. Of course, if a future girl of the Pokemon World did have interest in joining Ricky's harem, they had to approve it. Right now, their harem was harmonious. They wanted it to stay like that. Everyone had to be in agreement if a future girl was to enter the harem.

With yesterday now passed, it had become midday in Pallet Town. The scenery had changed again.

There appeared to be a small gathering outside of Ricky's House. The Oak Family Residence. Ricky could be seen in his usual attire, equipped with a Trainer Belt and Item Pouch. Serena and Lillie, on the other hand, were carrying two small strap-on bags. They hadn't purchased these two items yet.

Doing some shopping was their first target once they arrived back at Viridian City. Now that they were trainers, they could pay a visit to the Pokemon Center too!

Ricky's friends were currently gathered around their house. Both with a look of sadness but also that of anticipation in their eyes. Violet had her usual stern look in her eyes as she swept her gaze over everyone. Her eyes landed upon Ricky.

"Go straight to the lab, you hear me? Don't keep Dad waiting all day. You still have to choose your Pokemon to go with you. Plus you want to be in Viridian City before the end of the day, right?", Violet asked.

"Yeah. That's the plan. We won't keep Gramps waiting for long, Mom. We'll be sure to keep in touch. And for that matter, I have all your contacts in my Pokedex.", Ricky said, nodding his head with a firm nod, ensuring his mother he'll be fine.

This was a big step to exploring the vast Pokemon World, and what it all had to offer. Ricky decided to keep to his roots, and begin his journey in the Kanto Region! Regions like Paldea were recently discovered, and it was generating a lot of publicity, but Ricky opted not to head straight to Paldea. It might be part of the adventure, but for now, he'll head throughout Kanto.

"It won't be long before we follow in your footsteps, Ricky. You might be my brother, but I won't hold back if we find ourselves on the battlefield of the Indigo League. You mark my words.", Gary said, inviting a challenging gaze. Ricky smiled hearing that.

"I'll be all for it, Gary. I won't go easy on you, even if you're my little bro.", Ricky said. An invisible glint of light streaked across their eyes, invigorating the atmosphere around them.

"Now now, save that vigor for the Pokemon Gyms, Ricky. We shouldn't tarry any longer. It's already noon. We still have to get our Pokemon and cross through Route 1 before the day is over.", Serena said, reminding Ricky of what they had to do.

"I'll miss you guys. But like Gary said, we'll be setting off in just a couple months. We also decided to take the Kanto Region as our starting point. We very well could come across each other before the end of the year comes.", Green said.

"I'll be heading out on my own though! There's no way I'd go together with you.", Ash retorted, looking at Gary.

"I had a feeling you'd say that, Ashy-boy. You know we're staying back for your own good, right? We'll have to set off together, but after that, you're toast.", Gary retorted back.

"So that's what you three decided on doing, huh? I don't mind if Ash decides to split off, but that puts us at ease.", Ricky responded.

"Yeah. So you can head off without worrying about us. I'll be looking forward to all the Pokemon you three catch!", Green happily replied.

"Hmph. I'll be the one who catches the most Pokemon and become the strongest trainer!", Ash exclaimed.

"As if.", Gary retorted. Ricky simply chuckled hearing Gary bicker with Ash. He's definitely going to miss this.

"Let's not keep Gramps waiting any longer. Take care everyone!", Ricky said, waving his hand at his friends and family. Serena and Lillie also waved their hands goodbye, and just like that, the three left.

Their three figures soon departed into the outskirts of Pallet Town, vanishing from sight. The steep foothill that eventually led all the way to Professor Oak's Lab was quickly entering the trio's view. Just like that, they had officially set off on their journey! They didn't know what the future had in store for them!

Seeing Ricky, Serena, and Lillie now gone, their friends soon dispersed from the main street. Gary headed inside his home again, while Ash and Green returned to theirs. Violet, on the other hand, reached into her pocket, grabbing a cigarette. She didn't smoke often, only during auspicious moments like these. She lit it up, and took a puff, and exhaled some smoke out.

It was then a sole figure walked up to Violet, coming from the other direction. This figure appeared to be a middle-aged man with a very stern look.

"I didn't think you'd actually set foot back in here. And when Ricky set off to begin his journey no less.", Violet said, keeping a serious gaze in her eyes.

"That son of yours holds much promise. That was a very exciting battle to witness. Are you sure you don't want to come out of retirement, Violet?", The figure approached Violet, causing Violet to look at the man. He appeared to be middle-aged. Despite that, he appeared very athletic. He had carmine-colored hair, and brown eyes. He was one of the few figures of the Pokemon World that actually donned a cape behind him.

"I would be lying to say that I didn't feel something from that battle. You could even say it ignited an old flame. But coming out of retirement?", Violet questioned. "You serious about that, Lance?", Violet continued to ask.

"Why would I even bother coming here if I wasn't serious about inviting you back? I'm currently keeping hold of the Elite Four. One of our members is looking to retire soon themselves. I could do some work behind the scenes, and offer you a spot to join our ranks.", Lance responded with a determined look.

"And what's in it for me?", Violet questioned, locking her eyes with Lance. A hidden spark streaked across their eyes.

"I want to ignite that flame of yours to burn even brighter than before. It will allow you to hold Pokemon Battles without holding back. I'm sure your partner would love to experience the thrill of battle again. Not just everyone can encounter legendary Pokemon.", Lance answered.

Violet didn't immediately answer. Instead, she went into her own thoughts. Lance just watched her, before continuing to speak.

"You don't have to give an answer immediately. I'll be sticking around for a couple days, before I have business elsewhere.", Lance continued to say.

"I'll think about it.", Violet responded. Seeing Violet not instantly reject him, Lance cracked a rare smile.
