Chapter 88

Days passed by so fast that Friday came without notice.

It was the old lady's seventh day of rest. And today is the day of her cremation.

Chess was walking outside the street to take a breath. Up until now, he still couldn't think of the right words to say to Cale once he wakes up.

But then again, when he thinks about it, it's better to just say it directly.

Chess knows that Cale isn't the type of person who easily breaks. But still, this is his grandmother, his sole parent, and she died without him being able to bid his goodbyes. Who knows if this might actually be enough to break him?

Chess scratched his nose because of that. He isn't the type to think too deeply about sorrow and grief. For him, if you're sad, then cry. After that, wipe your tears and move forward.

That's all you had to do.

After spotting a bench by the side, Chess took a short rest just to pass some time, when suddenly, his phone notification pinged.
