Chapter 103

["Hello? Sir?"]

Chess walked along the quiet hallways of the hospital with a phone in his hand, placed beside his ear, while his eyes were staring straight ahead.

The familiar voice of a man traveled from the phone and into his ear, making him subtly nod his head.

"I thank you for keeping your word. Thank you very much." Chess then said, his voice showing hints of sincerity.

He was talking with the staff back in the funeral home.

The ashes were supposed to be delivered to him personally today, however, Prof made it clear that he have to stay inside the university since he's now the only one who's allowed to enter the grounds.

In return, Kane and Reis were sent to collect the ashes in his place. Gladly, the staff kept his word and made sure to give them the ashes himself.

["It's no problem, sir… just doing my job."] Oddly, the staff's voice sounded a little bit off, but Chess just brushed it off and went straight into business.
