TWISTED: Chess Piece

Freya, who was resting inside her and Angela's room, stood up from her comfortable seat in the kitchen to check and see what's causing the commotion outside. She had a glass of warm water in her hand as she reached out for the door.

But just before she could twist the knob and pull the door open, someone from the outside already pushed it first.

Freya took an abrupt step back, avoiding the door which was pushed by Angela from the outside.

The two of them flinched after seeing each other's faces, making them clutch onto their pounding chests. After calming down, Freya then let out a sigh before stepping away to make way for Angela.

"What's happening outside?" she asked.

Angela took a step in, closing the door behind her, before answering that question.

"I don't know either… it was peaceful a while ago, but then someone screamed something and people started crowding in the hallway." She said.
