Hell or alive?

“Sis, please don’t die,” is the first thing I heard when I was fully aware of all my senses. My eyelids are so heavy and my head was throbbing as if I have been drinking for the whole year. I try opening my eyes and instantly regretted it with how bright it is in this room.

“I told you that she will not go unconscious for the whole day, didn’t I? I want my 1 grand right this second Kurter because I clearly know her more than you. I told you, this woman is stubborn,” Damon brags excitedly. Did I really regain my consciousness to listen to this or did I just arrive in hell? I came to my senses after a dangerous mission and the first thing I hear is Kurter and Damon’s nonstop argument? Just great! I groan both in annoyance and pain.

“Shut up you! You’re not getting a single penny out of me,”Kurter huffed at my brother.

“You suck so much at being a part of the mafia. Don’t you know that our word is our bond around here?” Damon mocked while shaking his head at Kurter. God, this boy won’t just stop terrorizing my best friend.

“Can someone please tell these two to shut up already, before they make my head explode?” I complained. My voice sounded as that of someone who haven’t spoken in days. Man, I am so perched.

“Drink some water baby, here! I am so glad you’re back,” my dad offered. Wow, the old man is here? Of course he is. I bet he was scared I wouldn’t make it. I smiled at him.

“Thank you papa,” I drank all the water and ask for more. Even the water taste sweet. Wow, I must really have died and come back to life, huh?

“Easy on the water girlfriend, I don’t want you to go back into the comma because of excessive H2O consumption,” Kurter teased and we all laughed at her silliness. I wasn’t even close to being in the comma, or was I?

“If I didn’t know better, I could have sworn that she is Damon’s long lost sister. She is just like him,” Luca teases while shaking his head at Kurter.

“Hey, how can you compare me to her? She is a psycho!” Damon complains as he throw his hands in the air.

“Well, apparently that makes you one too, big boy's words not mine,” Kurter mocks as she pulls her tongue out at him. Meanwhile I was being showered with kisses all over my face by my two brothers and father, each one respectfully. Well, I am used to it by now.

“These two! Can someone please tell me where Noah is? And why is nobody with him?” I asked them . everyone started scratching their heads. They do that every time they want to avoid something. I can’t believe they left him alone.

“He is in the next room Lu. The doctor is with him so, why should we be with him?” Innocent shrugs his shoulders dismissively. I can’t believe these idiots. My brothers are numbskulls when it comes to relationships.

“How about taking care of him because he saved your sister's life when your asses couldn’t, huh? I snapped and they gaped their mouth at me. Kurter was smirking, glad they are in trouble. If there is one thing I hate more than anything is a man's ego. This is hella annoying and downright disrespectful.

“Father, what kind of daughter do you have? Who regains consciousness and within five minutes she is already yelling at her brothers like that, and with such an attitude?” Luca questions dad and father gave him a tight slap at the back of his head. He ouches and we all laughed at his expense.

“She is just like your mother son. If she was here, she could have whooped your asses for not taking care of that boy too,” my dad was smiling slightly when he says this. Did he just call Noah a boy? Men in this family! Beside that, the room fell into an uncomfortable silence. I guess my condition reminded my dad just how much he misses his queen. I don’t blame him though, their kind of love is toxic and pretty fucked up because it's hurting him. I only hope he will move on some day but with all the years he spent alone I doubt it. I have never seen him with a woman ever.

“Father, my sister is nothing like that woman. I thought we vowed that we won’t talk about her again?” Innocent reprimanded my dad with a scowl on his face. Both him and Luca's jaws were clenched so hard it seems they are going to break any second if they don’t loosen them soon.

“Just let it go brother, please take Pat to Noah,” Damon changes the subject wisely. I couldn’t stand the tension any longer anyway. We have gone through enough already for us to be clouded with the pain of my mother’s absence all over again. I know that my brothers feel her absence everyday and the mere mention of her name sets them on edge. Sometimes I wonder if they will ever trust any woman beside me. It's a shame I seem to find love before them, and I am the youngest.

“Brother’s, we have to eliminate that doctor soon before he completely takes our sister away from us. She hardly even have time for us anymore because of that Panado guy,” Innocent complains. Panado guy, really?

“That’s not funny Inno. If you eliminate him, you have to deal with me. You get that?” I threatened. No one is going to touch Noah without facing the wrath of the She-Lucifer, brother or not.

“Seriously, he is just lucky he has such an adorable daughter or he will be gone by now. That little girl reminds me of how cute you were when you were young,” Luca supported his partner in crime.

“Hey, I am still cute alright!” I pouted.

“That little girl isn’t just adorable she is more dangerous then Lu was too. You should be careful around that little monster brother. She was just telling me that she knows how to castrate a bull and you know the saying : that who knows how to castrate a bull does a man,” Innocent warns Luca and we all burst into a fit of laughter.

“Who would have thought that the all scary Innocent Bianco is scared of a little girl, huh?” Kurter mocks and I shook my head at Innocent’s antics.

“Hey, I can’t lose my most valued properties because of a little munchkin. A man got to be careful alright. That little Mirabel can trick anyone to do anything with that adorable face of hers. We should stay away from her brothers,” he defended again as he holds his brothers by their shoulders. Luca flinched away from him.

“No way, I can’t believe you’re that delusional brother. She is such a darling,” Luca defends Mirabel as his face lights up. Wow, she got him wrapped around her little finger in just a few hours? Now I am concerned about how much he likes her. He might just kill Noah to adopt Mirabel. I am just joking though it’s a high possibility if he wasn’t having the high values he have now.

“Whatever you say brother. Don’t just come to me complaining later. Come on sis. Let me take you to your Panado guy,” Innocent picks me up and placed me in a wheelchair. For some reason, I am still really weak. Must be the medication.

“His name is Noah Williams, jerk!” I rolled my eyes at him.

“Who cares sis? He works with Panados doesn’t he? Or would you rather I call him Ibrufein?” he was smirking, clearly enjoying this.

“You can be such an impossible jerk you know that right brother?” I complain as he was opening the room where Noah was. We have our own medical facility in our mansion. Not big but just enough.

“Oh I know and I love you too sis,” he changes the topic, now with a full blown smile and he kisses my head. I shake my head at him in disbelief.

“And remember, nothing more than a handshake can happen in here or I will smash his lips in the wall,” he threatens.

“I am not a baby anymore Inno, so I will do all the things I want to do with him,” I seethed stubbornly.

“Whatever you say tiger. I warned you, you wouldn’t want Panado guy to get even more bruises will you?" He smiled sweetly as if he is not threatening you.

“I hate you sometimes,” I retorted.

“I love you all the time too Lu. Take care now,”He kisses my forehead and leaves. I hissed in anger. Fuck your protectiveness Innocent Bianco. Now I will do exactly what you don’t want me to do. I thought, smirking.
