MILAN✨UNION 1

"How long will you take to get ready?" Samra's loud voice boomed through the whole house.

"Just coming" Pari shouted while trying to find her khussa which was no where to be found.

(Where is it?)

After 5 minutes of struggle she finally saw it under her bed. "Who put you down there? Stupid" Muttering to herself she got down on her feet and took the khussa out.

After wearing it she stood infront of the mirror looking at herself. Yellow was her favourite colour.

According to Parishay Gul yellow is happiness. Satisfied with her appearance she ran downstairs straight to her Nani maa.

After knocking, she opened the door and her gaze stopped at her Nani who was sitting on her wheelchair facing towards the window. Hearing her footsteps she turned her wheelchair around and smiled at her youngest granddaughter. "Assalam O Alaikum Amma.Eid mubarak" Pari greeted her Nani.

"Eid mubarak Amma's life". Nani Amma replied while kissing on her head.

Pari was always their favourite child. At the mere age of four she lost both of her parents in a plane crash. Her Paternal Grandparents had a crucial relation with her parents. As a result her Nani brought her up in her Maternal Haveli.

Fatima Begum had two sons and a daughter. Zawar Khan with his wife Shama and their children live with their mother in their native haveli in lahore,Pakistan. While her other son Sameer Khan lived in America with his family. The ronaq(life) of the Khanzada Haveli was Durr-e-Shahwar Khanum. Being the youngest she was always loved by her brothers and mother. But the petite beauty met her tragic end in an unfortunate plane crash leaving behind a four year old Parishay Gul in the arms of this harsh world. Her breaths stopped just before she decided her daughter's fate and asked her mother Fatima Khanum to promise her last will.

A promise which Fatima Khanum never kept.

"Have you eaten anything?" Parishay's voice broke her train of thoughts and her gaze settled on the beauty whose head was on her lap. Running fingers through her silky brown strands she sighed at which Parishay made a very angry face.

"How many times have I told you to have breakfast first? Come with me now" Smiling at her Fatima Khanum knew not to interrupt Parishay gul. She will always do what she wants.

They reached the kitchen where whole Khanzada family was busy in their own things. Samra, the eldest daughter of Zawar Khan was busy in making Sheer Khurma( a traditional sweet dish usually made on Eid) while Shama begum was busy in ordering maids. The haveli was getting decorated with beautiful flowers on the stairs. Eid was always celebrated with pure joy in Khanzada Haveli. Parishay placed poori and halwa on a plate and gave it to her Nani. "Eid mubarak Mami and Samra aapi". She greeted with a smile.

"Eid mubarak my child" Shama begum kissed her forhead.

"Eid mubarak Pari." Samra greeted back.

"Eat this Sheer Khurma" Samra poured some in a plate for Parishay, which she happily accepted.

"Thankyou aapi" "Mamo and Arsalan are not here yet?" She asked.

"They also said that they would meet Uncle Badr after the Eid prayers"

Parishay nodded and started finishing her plate. After breakfast Fatima begum went to her to rest while Parishay started to help Samra for lunch preparations.

"What are we going to cook today?"

"Lets make biryani and custard"

"Can i make mutton with it?" Pari asked making an innocent face like always.

Samra laughed at her and nodded. "Lets make it too. Show this innocent face to someone else. Now go and give Amma some milk, she didn't have her medicines"

Parishay nodded and poured a glass of milk for her Amma before making her way to her room. Fatima begum cut the call and placed a hand on her forhead to stop the incoming headache. It was their second call today. She was tired of hearing the same thing again and again. She had decided that her Parishay will only marry Arsalan. Everyone in her family knew that Arsalan and Parishay are to be married after her graduation except Parishay Gul.

A knock interrupted her thoughts and then the door opened by the innocent beauty bringing a smile on her Nani's face.

"Amma milk for you. You didn't take your medicines in the morning". She pouted angrily at which her Nani smiled.

"Forgive me". Parishay smiled and made her Amma drink the whole glass.

"Amma you are looking worried. Is everything alright?". She inquired looking at Fatima Begum who started to panic all of a sudden.

"No, i am alright"

"Did they call?" Parishay asked hopefully with moist eyes.

At which her Nani just shook her head and straight away said 'No'. She nodded and left.

Closing the door of her room Parishay walked towards the window. She knew that they have no interest in her. That they don't love her but why does her heart hurts everytime she hears about them. The tears started to flow out of the beautiful Hazel eyes and the owner never once tried to stop them.

Was she hoping that they'll for once call her?

That they'll take her with them?

A slight pain erupted in her chest and she placed her fist on her heart stopping the little sobs that raked out of her.

One question repeated in her mind everytime

Was she hoping that he'll call her for once?

And the answer was always 'yes'

SAME TIME DIFFERENT PLACE: SHAH HAVELI NEELUM VALLEY,KASHMIR

Subhan had just showered and wore black shalwar kameez. Checking his watch he walked downstairs in the living room where everyone was sitting in uncomfortable silence. It was not new. When ever Bibi Jan was there everyone stayed in their places rooted and waiting for her next order.

Bibi Jan loved her Grandchildren unconditionally specially Subhan Shah who was the eldest and the next owner of the haveli. Zarafshan Begum smiled at her son. Subhan walked towards his Bibi Jan and kissed her palm. "Eid mubarak Bibi Jan"

She smiled at him. "Khair mubarak to you too"

Subhan took his seat beside his mother who kissed his forhead.

Being the elder in the Shah Haveli, he possesed a strong character. Always keeping an expressionless face. He rarely smiled. To make him laugh was like asking for nuclear bomb formula from its maker.

"Zarafshan did you called Khanum?" Bibi jan asked Bari begum who looked down and nodded. She knew how her son was hoping to get a positive response by them. He never showed his emotions but his mother knew all along how much he loved her.

Everyone knew by just looking at her expression that the answer was a 'no' like always. Subhan stood up to leave the room just when his brother's voice made him stop.

Zaviyar was 7 years younger than Subhan and he knew how much his brother adored that girl but never once showed. He knew that he was hurt. "Brother I have to visit the decorators. Will you go with me?" He asked him hoping for a positive answer.

Subhan nodded slightly at him and gave him a small smile at which the tension in the room slightly evaporated. "Be prepared, I'll come in a little bit and then we'll go". Zaviyar nodded at his brother's answer.

Just as he left the room. Bibi jan placed a hand on her forhead and sighed deeply. "Zarafshan begum how will we bring that girl here?"

"Can't we just pick her up?" Zaviyar answered at which he got a flying chappal from his mother.

"You are this old but don't have shame. How can we just take the girl with us and bring her here" Bibi jan smiled at her youngest grandson's entiques.

"You are right, Bibi Jan. Something has to be done or it will be insulting for Shah Khandan if she does not come"

"Can't I get married without her?" Zaviyar again butted inside their conversation.

"Firstly talk about her with respect. She is your sister in law. Your brother's pride. Secondly your marriage can be done without Subhan's wife but I am talking about the family's dignity" Bibi jan continued.

"Your in laws asked about the eldest daughter in law of this family but i avoided that question. But now she is needed to be present at your wedding"

Everyone stayed quiet after bibi jan's words and sighed sadly.

They were oblivious of the pair of dark eyes watching the whole scene unfolding infront of his eyes. Subhan Shah took out his phone while walking towards his garage.

"Hello Sir"

"Haris, I need the car ready in two minutes"

The voice of his boss was enough for Haris to instantly obey.

"Okay Sir"

Subhan cut the call and picked up his glasses and watch from the table and wore them.

He took long strides towards the garage where the car was ready. He took his seat and ordered Haris to start the car.

In his ten years of working Haris has never seen his boss this angry. His state was literally furious right now.

"Where to Sir?" He asked meekly.

Subhan gazed outside the window and answered authoritively. "Lahore" ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Tell me guys how do you like the first chapter?
