At one time I thought there is no way this is meant to be my life. Thinking back on looking at Derek laying on the floor of our rental beach house bathroom in Charleston. Passed out from a night out with his twin brothers. I remember meeting Derek and thinking how absolutely handsome he was. Always drinking his bourbon mixed with coke. Those days have caught up to him now that I’m taking care of him while our newborn girls sleep. I thought the grass was going to be greener not being in my hometown turned out everyone and everywhere has spiderwebs. Luckily for me I was right it was not meant to be my life soon after our split I realize that person he portrayed was not him.
