Chapter 11 - Never Admit The Reason

Gaville downed his drink as he wait for his friends. He saw Sybil enter the bar's doors and he stood up to leave but the lady got to him fast. He looked at Sybil's body and he can't help but compare it to Shenise's small and curvy one.

Sybil looked at Gaville seductively but all he could see is Shenise's gorgeous cerulean eyes, nose and cheekbones. Sybil licked her lips and Gaville stared at it, seeing Shenise's thin but plump pink lips in his mind. His eyes trailed to Sybil's skin and he wondered how would it feel like to touch Shenise. Every. Part. Of. Her.

The lady in front of him trailed her fingers along the collar of Gaville's dress shirt. And Gaville thought about Shenise's sweet and intoxicating scent and the warmth from Shenise's body. And how Shenise's touch would feel.

Sybil took a hold of Gaville's hand and guided it to place on her waist. Gaville thought about Shenise's small waist. He dreamed about what would Shenise's skin look like if he suck on it.

Gaville had always been with sophisticated people, but they never interest or attracted him enough. He felt nothing for them. Shenise looked more like a child: petite, small, innocent. She's demanding, she's stubborn, she's nosy, she's annoyingly straight-laced, she's- she's.. she's Shenise... Shit.

Gaville shut his eyes tightly and removed his hands from Sybil's grasp.

Damn it. He held his head. Shenise, Shenise, Shenise. He gritted his teeth.

"What's wrong, Gaville?" He heard Sybil asked. And he thought of Shenise's angelic voice and how good it would sound if Shenise were to moan his name.

Sybil held his hands again and placed it on her body as she leaned forward and kissed his neck. Gaville tried to put his attention to what the woman is doing and let himself feel the sensation it brings. But to his utter dismay, all he could think of at that moment was that Shenise would probably never touch or kiss him like this. Gaville can't help but laugh sarcastically to himself.

Oh yeah, all of this is really funny... if only this is not happening to him.

He shook his head.

"Sybil, I'm sorry. I can't do this. I was waiting for my friends. I never thought I'd see you here." He snatched his hands from Sybil's body and leaned back to detach her lips from his neck.

"W-what do you mean?" She confusedly looked at him. "What's the meaning of this?"

Yeah. That's also my question. He sarcastically smiled at himself. Although he had an idea as to what is the answer to that question, he would rather die first than to admit the reason.

These last seven days that he had not seen Shenise, he feels like going insane. Everywhere he look, he remembers Shenise. When he's buying groceries, he remembers her. When he reads newspaper and see news about abandoned children or employee mistreatment cases, he remembers her. Even just by seeing a tea. Somehow, one way or another, Shenise always get entangled with the electrical waves in his brain.

Gaville sighed as he massaged his forehead.

No. He would never admit the reason. Definitely not.

He would never admit the reason as to why everytime he tries to be with other people these past few days, he always notice their differences or similarities to Shenise... and thus ruining everything. He would stop or worse, he would not even let the woman he's with to touch him.. because he could not stand the reverberating thoughts of Shenise swirling madly in his head.

No way in hell would he ever admit the reason behind that.

"I'm really sorry, Sybil. You don't have to be so attached to me, you know. Nothing happened between us. Yes we fooled with each other once but we were just handsy and nothing more. It was just a one-time thing and I don't plan to repeat that. I have to go now." He said to her.

"Wait!"

He ignored her and went out of the bar.

He went to the parking lot and entered his car, just sitting at the driver's seat. He leaned his forehead over the steering wheel. What should he do? In his intention to save himself, he decided not to see Shenise. But since that day he left her at the hospital, he's been in torture mode for a week.

He heard his phone ring. He took it out of his pocket and saw Heath Mien's name on the caller id. He suddenly felt nervous. It was already past twelve midnight, why would the old man call him at this time?

"Uncle." He answered him.

"Gaville, I'm sorry to bother you this late, but can I ask you a favor? It's Shenise-"

"What happened to Shen?" He blurted out before he could even stop himself.

"No, no, it's not like that. She's still at the office; finishing some work. I was just a little worried. It's already late and she didn't bring her car. So if it isn't a bother to you, can you please pick her up?"

Gaville won't admit it, but his heartbeat increased. "Sure, Uncle." He managed to say calmly.

"Thank you, Son. I really appreciate it. I can finally breath okay now knowing that someone trustworthy is with her. These past few days, she seems a little tired and weak. She also had tons of work."

"It's okay, Uncle."

"Thank you again, Gaville." Then they ended the call.

The second he pressed the end call button of his phone, he felt his blood rushing in his body.

He was going to see her!

Of course, he's just doing it to help Heath Mien, so this cannot be counted as bypassing his Rule # 1, which was to avoid seeing Shenise Mien.

Besides, it's already really late and Shenise just had an injury recently so it's only right that someone pick her up. It was not like he was excited to see the woman or something.

No, definitely not.

He quickly started his car and immediately drove towards where Shenise is.
