120. The snitch

Donovan nods, “Very interesting, Josie. Thanks for your insights. I’ve learned a lot in a short time from you. I wish I could listen longer. You know what you are talking about.”

Josie frowns, “My goodness, I wanted to ask you so many questions, and look now! I babbled all the time and now we must go and have supper.”

Donovan again looks at the people chatting affably while the tables are filling up. Then he sees her and doesn’t know why he gets this warm feeling in his heart. Taiya sees he is looking at her where she sits waiting patiently. She smiles beautifully and he smiles back.

Kamila now talks for the first time, “Donovan asked Taiya to join him at the table at supper and she concurred.”

It seems as if Kamila’s news wipes the smile from Josie’s face, “Oh ...” She meditates for a while before she concisely and earnestly continues, “Now, come on you two. I’m sure you are just as famished as I am.”
