Chloe, and Isaac, the man who has become the most important in her life, are powerless in the hands of a sadistic devil. Are they going to survive? She is not sure of the full extent of the danger and desperately finds the help of Hunter, a private investigator, that had a special bond with her father. Meanwhile, she fails to make sense of the escalating disturbing phenomena in her haunted house in the woods and starts to bond with her new neighbour, Isaac.
It reads like a mixture of a thrilling detective story with supernatural turns and a psychological thriller all in one with endless surprises and clues for the clever reader.

The Phantoms

It is a beautiful day in many ways. Cloudless, windless with a clear, fresh, bright, blue sky. 


Early in the morning, they visit the town and she pays for everything Hunter needs. Thereafter Chloe tremendously enjoys herself; then she helps Robert to stabilize the ladder and then she helps Hunter by holding something in place while he fastens it. She spoils them with supplying drinks and snacks and forces them to take a break and enjoy the snacks before they continue with their work. 


In time she and Isaac’s island becomes much more secure. When dusk falls in the evening, the bright spotlights will kick in automatically which mainly focus on the places they park their cars and allow them to reach their homes safely and avert them stumbling through the darkness.
