My return to the living couldn’t be more perfect. To return and feel Alice’s arms wrap around me and pull me into a warm embrace only made the love I felt for her all that much stronger. I looked around the room and saw that Jayce was already here and looking at Alice and I with pure hatred in his eyes. I couldn’t help but grin at him. He was fighting a losing battle.
“Daniel? How are you here? You must be real. I know you’re real. Were you kidnapped too?” Alice asked me worriedly.
“Alice, sweetie, calm down. I was knocked out like you. It brought me to this weird place as well.”
“Daniel, how are you not concerned about where we are or freaking out about finding ways to get out of here?” Jayce questioned from across the room, getting up to walk over to Alice and I.
“Unlike you Jayce, I handle things calmly. That’s the only way to move forward and get things done. Clearly you don’t know that.” I retorted.
