OMG I Became a System

I know why would I try to explain what is a system.


My mother and my younger brother tried to read my novel and this novel.


Sadly both of them didn't understand what is a system novel is.


My mother tried to understand it by asking me what is the system was because she didn't get the plot of my novel.


My younger brother didn't really care. 


I'm not sure if he knows it or he's totally new to the idea of system novels.


I was shocked to realize that even it was a popular theme for readers like me.


I'm not sure that is the exact definition of it.  But this is what I understand and explain it to my mother.


A system is an entity that helps a host or person and forms a symbiotic relationship.


The goal is to have a mutual goal of both must be achieved.


The system functions like an RPG or an AI that support the Host.


It gives missions or tasks for the Host to complete.


There is a certain type of power levels and stats for the host to measure abilities.


The most iconic feature was the Host profile or Host information tab.


And there are many features of systems that may differ in different novels.


It really took me more than 1 hour to explain it to my mother.


Well, sadly she said it was not her cup of tea.


I realized that every generation has a popular taste in everything.


When even though my mother didn't really understand it.


But she still supports me by reading a novel, even she found it odd. :)


How can you explain what is a system novel to someone from a different generation or someone to never read this kind of novel.
