In the Eternal Battlefield Noah and Alice got up early and went to the teleportation hall.
They had decided that they would travel to Royal Cloud City. It was the closest city to BlueCloud Town, the town they were in. Cities had a lot more resources than small towns that barely had two shops.
However, they weren't going to teleport to Royal Cloud city, which was too expensive. Rather they were going to teleport outwards in its direction. They would then first travel to the town called GreenCloud Town. They didn't directly teleport to the town as they wanted to farm dungeons along the way to earn more money.
With a goal in mind, the two packed up everything they needed. They bought larger bags and filled them with more travelling equipment and put them into their inventories.
They could take their horses with them. Luckily, the horse rental service had multiple branches, so if he needed to pay more he could pay in any town or city. This time they rented two horses, they would ride separately.
The two walked with their horses into the teleportation hall. They then chose the same location.
[Cost 1 silver]
[Do you wish to teleport?]
They agreed. With their horses, the two were teleported deep into the forest. One silver was taken away from their inventories by the system.
Teleporting the horses didn't have an additional cost, it was one of the perks of a rented horse. The two mounted a horse and started moving in the direction they wanted.
They had the whole route planned out. Noah had his explorer map open, which he used to navigate.
Along the way, they completed three F class dungeons.
The dungeons were all easy to clear, barely taking any time. After the dungeons, they would rest for a while then continue travelling.
Noah had levelled up to level 2 during them. He put the two bonus attribute points into mana. Alice was still Level 1.
They had travelled, around 40 kilometers in a day. The town, they were travelling to was roughly 200 kilometers away, so they had a long way to go. When it got dark they decided to stop and set up camp.
Alice got off the horse with a sore back, constantly sitting on a saddle for so long had exhausted her. Noah didn't feel too bad, it was probably the effect of his talent 'Genius Martial Combat Body', it helped recover from tiredness quickly.
Setting up the tent and fire they eventually laid down. Alice fell asleep first. While Noah stayed awake.
...
Noah opened his explorer map and looked for the Black Werewolf dungeon. He still had the key for the skill creation zone. He decided it would be better if he got the skill earlier. It would have been nice to get Alice but it wasn't a must.
It was a little far from where he was but it was manageable. So he jumped back on his horse and started galloping there. The horse still had enough energy left to take him there.
Along the way, Noah quickly killed all the monsters he ran into and took the shortest route.
...
Finally reaching he got off the horse and tied it to a tree. He then walked into the dungeon.
The dungeon had regenerated he would have to kill all the monsters again. Having done it twice he was able to go through it much faster a third time.
Noah made it to the Dungeon Lord's room and pushed the door open, in it, the dungeon lord stood.
He was debuffed just as he entered but he didn't care, he ignored the Dungeon lord and ran to the door for the skill creation zone.
[Will you use the key to unlock?]
"Yes."
The door in front of him unlocked and opened. Noah ran in, the dungeon Lord saw this and howled. The door was too small for its body. It walked away in anger.
Inside was a white stone hall. It was a large area with walls, floor and ceiling all covered in white marble-like stone tiles.
Further in the hall, near the centre were multiple wooden training dummies, each was a fixed distance apart from the other. They spread out from each other to form a net of them in the centre of the hall.
"I need a clear idea of what skill I want." Noah already decided on the type of skill. He wanted a buff type skill, that would increase his lethality.
He thought of many actions and types of skills that he needed. He could try to cover his sword with as much mana as he could and then attack a dummy with it. That might give a strong attack skill.
He did need a skill that could burst down a dungeon lord. However, he decided a strong buffing skill would be more useful for his situation.
The skill he wanted need to buff his agility and strength. It needed to have an effect that helped him kill monsters faster by increasing the attack power of his sword. The best way to do that was by attacking monsters in vital places.
After a moment of contemplation Noah pulled out both his weapons into his hands, he then activated Cold Mind'. This would allow him to perform the movements to the best of his ability.
"Start."
He then sprinted forward. His gun in his left hand pointed out as it shot bullets. Because of his spatial sense, he was able to see the location of each dummy perfectly. So keeping that in mind, he shot out aiming for the forehead on each dummy.
Each shot from his gun perfectly aimed. By the time he reached the first row of dummies, all of the ones in the first row had holes in through their heads.
Noah then used his sword to strike a dummy at its neck as he passed by it. He had covered his sword lightly with mana to increase its power. His left hand still shooting out at dummies further out. His body moved in a flowing motion, his sword striking sharply. He kept great control as he moved between them.
He lightly used Sonic Leap to make sure he moved his fastest between them. Each step propelled him forward as he hit multiple of his targets with gun and sword. Making sure to never stop and keep his movements continuous.
In the end, he slashed at the last dummy beheading.
"Stop."
Noah stood breathing heavily. He put away his weapon as the system sent him a message.
