I'm already taken

Alice sat on her seat waiting for Class to start. Noah sat beside her like usual.

Noah reached out under his desk for his laptop but when he pulled it out he felt something else. It was letters, similar to the one he had found yesterday, he now had more of them. He put them back in ignoring them.

Alice noticed that Noah hadn't said anything and looked to the side. She saw Noah holding letters and putting them under his desk casually. She turned back to look in the front.

'Those letters, when did Noah start getting them?' She could tell with one look they were confession letters. It seemed like Noah was ignoring them, but it still made her uncomfortable. She didn't like people confessing to Noah, but at the same time, she didn't have the confidence to proclaim him as hers.

She decided to forget about and paid attention to class.

The day passed quickly and soon came to an end. Noah stood next to Alice ready to leave as she packed up her bag.

"Excuse me, did you read my letter?"

Noah turned to look at the person who asked. He didn't know her name but he recognised her as someone from his class.

"Sorry, I didn't read it. If you have something to say to me you can say it now." He still hadn't opened a single letter and wasn't planning on it.

"Please read the letter." The girl said lowly trying not to be heard.

"If it's important can't you just tell me now?" Noah said with a harmless smile.

The girl understood he wasn't going to read it. She looked around the class and saw that many students still hadn't left.

"Do I have to say it here?"

"If you don't mind." Noah seeing her pause didn't bother anymore and got up to leave with Alice.

Alice saw the whole thing but didn't think she needed to intervene. She recognised Jasmine. She was one of the few people who would still converse with her in class even after the bullying started. Jasmine also had worked with her on a few group projects together.

So from all the students, Jasmine wasn't someone she disliked. Which made her feel Noah was being a bit too mean asking a girl to confess in public. She decided to talk to Noah about it later.

As they walked towards the door. Jasmine loudly said, "I like you!"

Noah and Alice stopped. Noah gave Alice a look. She turned back and gave him a look saying: deal with the problem you created.

"I'm sure you don't remember this but you've met me before, I worked as an extra on the movie 'Lonely Rain'. On set when I was having a hard time you gave me advice and the courage to speak out, since then I've always wanted to tell you- I like you!"

Noah watched Alice's reaction turn cold.

'No way... does she think I was hitting on her? I have helped as many people as I could to have the filming progress go faster whenever I was on set. I don't even remember who this girl is.'

Noah knew he had to fix this quickly.

"If you worked on a movie with me then you should know that I already like someone," Noah said. It was something everyone on all his movies set knew but were contracted to keep silent about.

In the industry, people knew that Noah rejected kissing scenes. During the time he had been filming his first romance film, he had gotten into a heated argument with the director of the film to the point almost everyone in the industry knew about it. The film had to spend extra and edit the scene just to keep continuity.

"I know but I also know you haven't met her for a long time, so I still wanted to tell you."

Noah reached out his hand and grabbed Alice's hand, "I already have a fiance. The reason I transferred to this school was to live with her. So I'm sorry to say you have no chance."

He brought Alice's hand to his mouth and gave it a light kiss.

Jasmine was shocked, the whole class was shocked. People's mouths were hanging open as they watched. They had already seen Noah and Alice together a lot and expected something was between the two. But they didn't know they lived together and she was his fiance.

Alice was astonished by what Noah said. She felt shy and wanted to crawl into a hole to hide. Noah laughed seeing her reaction, put his arm around her shoulder and walked out of the class.

After they left the class went into a frenzy.

"It's confirmed they were going out!"

"No way! Noah's going out with Alice?"

As everyone talked, Jasmine who had confessed was pulled to the side by her friend.

"Are you okay?'

"I knew I was going to get rejected, so I was already expecting this." Jasmine then paused, "Plus, Don't you think they both look good together?" At the end of the day even though she liked Noah she was also a fan.

"Those two? Did you already give up?"

"Give up? I told you I didn't have a chance! I just wanted to tell him how I feel, honestly, he's more of my idol than a crush."

The two looked out of the nearby window and saw Alice and Noah walk outside the school building to the gate.

Alice was walking in front as Noah walked behind. She was mad at him for suddenly saying all of that.

"Alice I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said all of that." Noah said while smiling.

"Finance? When did I become your finance? the engagement is still broken." Alice said with spite speeding up.

Noah ran forward seeing this and grabbed her from the side, he then held her up and twirled while holding her as he moved forward a few steps.

"You know I can't imagine being married to someone else," Noah said as he did this. His devilishly handsome smile gleaming. He then put her over his shoulder and started running as he laughed.

"Noah! Put me down!" Alice shouted as Noah carried her towards building D. Her fists lightly hitting his back.

Up in the classroom, the girls watching Noah carry Alice away were shocked.

"Who does that? That twirl was straight out of a movie."

"I want him to carry me."
