The next day, Noah galloped behind the carriage as they arrived at the dungeon. With the three staff on his back and the newly crafted gun holstered on the left side of his chest.
Alice had already noticed the gun, so had Leona, Tasha and Sofia. They hadn't said anything since they had overheard Alice ask Noah about it already.
Noah didn't hide it, telling them he got it from a quest. Alice hadn't known about the D Class gun design since he didn't think he needed to tell her. Now that he had it, he told her about what he had been busy doing the past few days.
Happy for Noah, Alice gave him a hug to celebrate. The two had then gotten on the way to the D Class dungeon they were going to today.
The five entered another dungeon.
In formation, Noah sat on the Levitation Staff holding the Ancient Magic Wood Flintlock. The flintlock extended out from his hand, its elven origin was prominent in its design and energy. Noah already had a lot of nature energy coming off of him because of the armour and staff but now it was an entire level higher. He was like a growing forest in spring.
Pulling the trigger, Noah cast his support skills using the Flintlock. The reduction of cast time and increase in 50% effect was obvious to the three fighting monsters. They felt their attributes go even higher than before and a lot faster now as well.
Strength Boost that increased 15 points strength now increased 22 points. This also happened with Speed Boost and Bulk Up. With excess mana, he was able to do as he pleased and didn't have to be frugal with his mana. He used Mana Screen as he pleased blocking attacks.
He even attacked, pulling the trigger he shot a wood mana bullet, the bullet bounced and hit the monster from the side, heavily damaging it. Leona who was in combat was surprised by the sudden hit, she turned back and gave Noah a quick thanks then continued fighting.
Alice, Tasha and Leona moved through the dungeon like bulldozers. D Class monsters fell in a few hits as Noah would weaken them first with a shot and they would finish the monster off.
They entered the Dungeon Lord's Lair and had a smooth battle. Taking down the Dungeon Lord cleaning the girls looked at Noah secretly as they went through the loot.
Alice had been surprised, she had thought it was just a D Class weapon. Noah would have gotten a little stronger, she was wrong, it looked like D Class weapons weren't something E Class equipment could compare to. She began to think about when to ask Noah to show her its attributes.
Sofia was especially enthralled by the new gun. Not only was the design artistic and energy strong, but it also gave the vibe of a legendary magic weapon. As a fan of the supernatural and magic, she wanted to get a hold of it and try shooting it with it.
This thought was buried when she looked at Noah's ice-cold eyes. Noah wasn't friendly but wasn't distant either. To her, he was only here to accompany Alice, he didn't actually care about the other three. The cold steel wall he had formed around him intimidated her and caused her to stay away. Only someone like Leona could bear talking to him.
Tasha looked at him, "Hey, tell me how to get a weapon like that?"
Sofia surprised, wanted to stop her from being so brazen. She turned to Alice just to see her discussing something with Leona.
Floating down, "Somehow obtain a weapon design. They drop from C Class dungeons and higher. Obtain the materials on the design and then find a good crafter or Blacksmith to make it for you. For this weapon, I went to the Elf Alice told you about in the Deadly Forest." Noah answered casually.
Tasha nodded, "If get any designs can I buy them from you?"
Noah looked at Alice, "You can settle that with Alice, but I still haven't found any dagger designs. Designs are rare, you'll have to run a dungeon dozens of times just to get it."
Sofia seeing them talk walked in, "Can I see the gun?" She asked lightly.
Mulling it over a second, he decided it didn't matter too much if she knew the attributes. He passed the gun to her. As teammates, he needed to have a basic level of trust in her.
Sofia looked at the gun. She looked closely at the details, from each intent of the wood. She then held and pointed at the stone wall. Pulling the trigger a green bullet shot out and burst against the stone wall. While she was pushed back by the recoil and fright making her fall onto the ground.
She quickly got up and gave the gun back to Noah, "Thank you."
Leona came closer with Alice to the three, "We took half the time to clear this dungeon, so we'll twice as many today."
The five left and went to the next dungeon.
Noah's support allowed them to breeze through four more dungeons before they headed back.
...
In the inn, Alice asked, "Can't we do C Class dungeons now? You're just getting stronger and stronger, soon I won't know what level you'll be on."
"Seeing you these last few days I noticed that the way I had been training you was wrong," Noah said while sitting down. "Unlike me, rather than practising alone, you work better in a group. I was putting my standards onto you. I'm used to long sessions of intense training but I didn't think how much stress it would put on you. I think you've found your tempo you should stick to it."
Alice wasn't happy by his answer, Noah pulled her into a hug, "No need to catch up to me, I'll always be next to you."
...
Outside Noah looked at his Explorer Map, he had bought more maps at RoyalCloud City updating his Explorer Map. Today he was looking at B Class dungeons. C Class were easy now, so he wanted to start B Class dungeons. With both the Ancient Magic Wood Flintlock and True Wood Staff he was confident in clearing B Class dungeons.
On his map, Noah had the view of the current supercontinent, with a hundred or so, dotes on it. These were all the B Class dungeons. Compared to C Class, B Class dungeons were rare, he would have to use the Teleportation Hall to move around to different towns or cities to get to them.
Finding the closest one, Noah entered the Teleportation Hall. He teleported to RedCloud Town. From there he got on his Levitation Staff and came to the dungeon location.
Checking if he had enough consumables and whether all his items were equipped one last time, he walked in.
Inside the Dungeon Noah was surprised to see the floor he was walking on abruptly end. The entire dungeon turned to an expansive light blue sky as far as he could see. Large Peacock like birds flew across through the white fluffy clouds. Their long colourful tails sending gusts as their wings lightly flapped.
[Cerulean Sky Peacock]
Class B
Level 63
'Without a method to fly, this dungeon will be impossible to clear.' Noah thought as he flew off the edge on his Levitation Staff. Looking down he didn't see a ground to land on. He would have to fight this whole battle on the Levitation Staff.
The dungeon was an upgraded version of C Class dungeons. The space inside was more stable and real. It now seemed like a completely new dimension rather than a cave. The mana and magic used to build the world had harmonised with the dungeon to form a real atmosphere.
In combat with the giant Peacock, Noah pulled the trigger a final time. Bloom activated as the Peacock had explosions on its body. Screech! The large bluish-white bird cried as it stopped moving. Its cloud-like body didn't fall after dying. It stayed afloat in the air with the loot on top of it.
The Sky Peacocks weren't too difficult to deal with. They had many wind-related abilities that he was able to overcome using Flash Step. He was doing significant damage with each shot, as their defence wasn't too strong. The worst was that they were fast, and extremely so, they were able to slide past bullets evading them like gusts of winds.
The low accuracy of his shots made fights take longer.
Noah moved on and reached the Dungeon Lord. He had to go a lot more exploring, the world was too big so reaching the centre took a while.
[Sky Lord Peacock]
B Class
Level 69
The large peacock with cloud-like feathers swooped past him as it flew around the unending Lair. Its size was large compared to the peacocks on earth but was smaller than all the ones he had seen before in the dungeon.
Its speed was incredibly fast. Noah shot at it but all of his bullets missed. It then shot a tornado of wind with a flap of its wings back at Noah, appearing far away he continued shooting with the Flintlock. Seeing how he would only get one shot in a dozen Noah used Lock On. With the enhancer activated, he was getting all hits in.
The high damaging bullets took the flying monsters life and dropped loot on top of it. Noah packed everything and left.
The dungeon was easier than expected. He knew it was because his attributes had increased because of the armour and weapon. He was well equipped, his weapon comparable to a C Class weapon which was supposed to be impossible to obtain in the beginner zone.
D Class equipment was the peak level equipment of the beginner zone, he had something stronger. In a way, he already had the weapon he would be using in A Class dungeons. They were the apex of the beginner zone and where all the final bosses lived.
Currently, he knew of only three A Class dungeons all associated with a Capital city.
Goblin's Castle was associated with ImmortalCloud Capital City. This was the A Class dungeon closest to him. He had read descriptions of the outside of the dungeon online on earth from people who had seen it.
It was a large medieval castle protected by steel armoured goblin guards. There were crossbows, catapults and even cannons protecting the castle. On the four corners were tall towers that had large mana crystals and wizards standing on guard. The dungeon seemed impossible for a few groups of people to clear, It would be a total war.
Flood Dragon's Den close to the Eternal Flame Capital City was the most mysterious. It was just a large mysterious cave covered in mist that no one dared to enter.
Darkness Abomination to Everlasting Light Capital City wasn't found. Even knowing its location people weren't able to find the entrance.
These three dungeons were known to be the final goal in the beginner zone. Currently, people watched it from afar. The energy was too intense and pressuring, stopping them from entering.
'I need to start preparing for A Class dungeons now that I have the Flintlock. I don't think anyone else is farming B Class dungeons at the moment, I need to squeeze out as much money and loot from them now.'
B Class dungeons took a week to regenerate so he wouldn't be able to rerun them as frequently, when more people started clearing them it would be hard to find an open B Class dungeon.
In the dungeon, Noah picked up the loot dropped by the Sky Lord Peacock and flew out. The drops were abundant in consumable items and equipment. Enhancers usually were completely random, they weren't based on the Dungeon Lord as he had thought, no good ones had dropped.
However, a blue feather tunic had dropped. It was an E Class chest armour. The first time he had seen E Class armour.
[Sky Feather Armour] (E Class)
Strength +25, Agility +50, Physique +25
Passive Skill: [Float] Your body will be weightless and constantly float
Active Skill: [Cloud Sheild] Form a shield made of clouds to protect you from attacks.
The armour was nice, but Noah kept it away, he didn't want to break the set effect he was getting from the Silver Jade Leaf Set. Mana Regeneration was a lot more useful to him than the attribute increase and skills it gave.
...
Back to RedCloud Town, Noah teleported to Royal Cloud again. In the warehouse of the Dragon Wing Auction House, he emptied his inventory again. His inventory had filled faster than before because of the higher rank dungeons he was doing.
This time he put only a few things on sale. As for all his other items. most of them had been bought by now giving him a good chunk of gold. He currently had more than 200 gold on him now.
