Escaping

Noah had finished writing the code.

"Sorry, the code you wrote is wrong please write it again." The lady said.

Noah scratched his head as he said, "I'm sorry, I'm just a little nervous." He then started typing it in again.

The men around watched as they got impatient.

This time Noah got it right.

"Please answer a few security questions."

"Should I really be answering them live?" Noah asked.

"There is nothing I can do about that sir, I need the authentication to open the account." The lady responded.

Noah then complied answering question after question.

"Thank you for completing the authentication process. You currently have 11,938,424,222 dollars, how much do you wish to withdraw?"

"How many people are left?" Noah asked.

"10,510."

"I want to withdraw 10,510,000,000 dollars."

"The bank will be short on cash for such a large withdrawal, it may take longer than usual, do you wish to wait or have us make up the difference with gold?"

Noah looked at the leader.

"I shall accept gold."

"I don't want to wait, please do have it delivered as soon as you can."

The lady said her thanks a final time and the phone call ended.

The long phone call finally ended. Noah looked at the leader, "The money will be here soon. Please be ready to let everyone go."

The people sitting looked at Noah like their true saviour had arrived as they finally smiled and got ready to leave.

The leader nodded as he put his hand on his gun, "Everyone can leave, accept you." The man pointed his gun at Noah. His whole facade as a messiah started breaking.

Noah acted as if he didn't know how to react and raised his hands.

"You have helped us greatly, but it is not enough to cover for your previous sins. You will need to pay a lot more than others here."

With Cold Mind activated Noah got ready to move. It had been ten minutes now. Like he had thought their real goal wasn't money. It seemed like they were now getting ready to start their escape before the money arrived.

"Chosen 22, are you ready?"

"Chosen 33..." Seeing the second not respond his hand on the trigger got ready as his other hand grabbed the detonator.

Noah a step faster slid and ducked as he grabbed the detonator and pushed up the leader's gun. Deflecting the first bullet to hit the camera. Noah still moving, aimed the gun in the leader's arms to the right.

The second bullet went through the panicking crowd, cutting a few, then hit the last man on the right side who was about to press another detonator. Noah then immediately used the large body of the leader as cover.

Just as Noah moved the dragon tattooed man behind him, shot. Noah had dodged the bullet. It went past him and hit the leader in the shoulder stopping him from shooting.

The other people in front took longer to respond, they all started shooting in Noah's direction. By now Noah had already gotten behind the leader and used his bulletproof vest and body wearing it as a shield.

The large body was shot by all the underlings piercing holes in the corpse one after the other.

...

Kira noticed that Noah was acting, she elbowed back. The man who was about to shoot, couldn't. She pulled on the gun and shot at the other two guards on both sides. She then pulled off the smoke grenades and threw them in Noah's direction.

Alice in the back of the crowd saw that everything had gone to plan. She shot at the men near her and threw the smoke grenades as well as a distraction. She then retreated in the smoke, dropping the gun.

The police and army, which had been waiting moved in. They ran out thick smoke following behind them. They quickly disarmed each of the men using the smokescreen to hide where they came from. Throwing the men to the ground and cuffing them.

The radicals struggled and screamed as the crowd of people started running for the exit.

The man with the dragon tattoo saw the situation fall apart, he pointed his gun up, "Bye fuckers!" and shot, killing himself.

The rest of them were taken down and immediately arrested.

Other officers moved in to help the chaotic crowd evacuate.

...

Kira at the front dropped the gun in her hand and dragged the man she had knocked out. She walked out of the door with people rushing past her. The vest she had locked on still ticking.

Outside people wearing protective suits surrounded her and brought her to the side to defuse the explosives on her.

"Don't worry we'll get this off of you soon."

Kira nodded. She finally felt relieved. It was over. Now she was worried about Vince. She hadn't been able to show it at the moment, but she appreciated him standing up for her even when he himself was so afraid. She had to visit him and see if he was fine.

...

Noah at the front saw that everyone was evacuating, he then ran in Alice's direction. Along the way running into the hat, he had taken off. He picked it up and dusted off all the dirt it had gotten on by people stepping on it as he ran.

Alice changed her clothes throwing everything she wore to the ground. The thick black clothes and bulletproof vest were hot. She felt so much better now having them off. She put on her shirt and pants. As she buttoned it up two arms came out and hugged her.

She easily recognised them, "Noah, don't surprise me like that!"

"I just wanted to hug you as soon as possible. It was so dangerous, did you get injured?" Noah said letting her go. Then giving her a scan and not seeing any injury.

"No he was weak, it didn't even take a minute to take him out. Here's your stuff."

Noah accepted it, "We should hurry and leave with the crowd."

Alice nodded. The two ran back and joined the crowd as they ran out. The barricade had been opened now as ambulances were checking and taking people to hospitals. Families waiting reunited.

With his hat on, and his other hand hugging Alice, Noah passed through and out. They walked down the nearby sidewalk until they saw a taxi stuck in traffic.

They got on, telling the location of their apartment the two relaxed.

A screen on the back of the taxi showed the news.

"As you can see the hostages have all safely evacuated from the building. They are now meeting with anxious family members who had waited outside. Two terrorists have been found dead while the rest have been arrested. The police have gone in and are currently working on defusing all explosives set in the building..."

The reporter touched her earpiece, "We have gotten a statement from Terra Corp that Noah Sinfero has left by company helicopter, also uninjured." The camera showed a helicopter leaving.

Alice looked at Noah texting on his phone.

"I told them to say that," Noah said. His fans were all currently spamming the news asking how he was so he told the people who had arrived to announce he was uninjured. His father had also arrived but he didn't want to see him so he left, telling him he was fine.

The taxi driver made out from the traffic as he took a right. Finally driving again.

Alice called Kira and found out that she was fine. The vest was off and she was going to the hospital to check on Vince.

The two looked at each other.

"Do you think there is something between the two? I didn't think Vince would ever stand up for someone putting himself at risk." Alice asked Noah.

"If there wasn't anything before, it will develop soon at this rate," Noah answered.

They both decided not to intervene anymore with what would happen. They trusted Kira's judgment.
