Floating Holy Library

Sitting on his staff, Noah watched as the five girls fought a buffalo the size of a small hill. Its body leaf green in colour with wooden horns protruding from its head. Noah waved the True Wood Staff in his hand causing four thick roots surrounding the Buffalo to whip at it.

[Horned Forest Eater] (Dungeon Lord)

B Class

Level 68

Kira jumped back away from the Buffalo-like beast and landed on one of the roots. She then pointed at the Buffalo that was fighting Leona, "Flaming Javelin!" A red thin javelin, made of dangerous flames of ferocity, appeared in an instant and shot.

Swish! The flames burst out knocking the Buffalo to the side. It balanced itself as it huffed and stomped.

Forest Frenzy!

Thorny vines from the tall forest trees around rushed at everyone in the group from all directions.

Noah swayed casually letting the vines go past him.

Both Tasha and Alice were close to the Buffalo, they weaved around to dodge. While Sofia cast a shield around herself blocking them.

Leona shouted, "Flame Sword!" Her greatsword lit with fire, she fought the vines back and broke through their entanglement.

Noah increased the mana he was using for Root Control, then cast the spell Roots of binding. The roots struck like snakes and wrapped around the Buffalo. Leona jumped into the air raising her sword, hacking down with her Flaming Sword at the Buffalo's head. Kira closed in from underneath and sent a palm of blazing flames to its belly, "Incinerate."

Sandwiched in fire, the Buffalo was charred as it tried to break the roots holding it. The attacks were enough as it finally couldn't take anymore and fell. Its body dissipated into light.

[You have slain the Dungeon Lord!]

The group looked at each other and cheered, this dungeon was the first B Class one they had done together.

After the events at the mall and with the sudden serious take about the Eternal Battlefield, the girls couldn't relax anymore. Alice and Kira being involved in such a horrible event had tensed them up. Laws wouldn't be effective in the Eternal Battlefield so they needed to prepare themselves when the worlds merged.

The Rose Foxes now did five C Class dungeons and finished off with a B Class dungeon. They were spending twice the time in dungeons now than before. Pushing themselves to do B Class dungeons as well.

...

At the teleportation hall in the nearest town.

"I'll be separating here." Noah said to the group then he hugged Alice, "see you later."

Alice hugged back, the six teleported to their destinations.

Alice and the other girls came to Immortal Cloud Capital City. They had finished the dungeons they did for the day. Now they would spend this time shopping for items or eating together at restaurants in the city.

...

Noah had chosen a completely different Capital city- Everlasting light in the light country. He was here to see the Floating Holy Library.

Compared to the others, this new building didn't have much hype to it. Entering it cost 10 gold, then you needed to pay separately to read any of the books inside. No one was willing to spend gold on a library when they could buy better items with it. Even members of big guilds couldn't spend gold as they pleased.

Walking out of the Teleportation Hall Noah looked at the giant floating cathedral-like building in the distance. It was impossible to ignore. Its ancient design with the combination of clouds and golden sunlight surrounding it gave it majesty and beauty.

Although expensive the building was a source of an exceedingly high amount of information and research the Angel Race was willing to donate to humans to help them in the Protected Zone.

Everlasting Light city had a white and yellow aesthetic. It was brightly coloured and had a more soothing atmosphere to it. It was more sparsely populated than the other two capital cities. One in ten people walking around had the moonlight insignia on their armour or skin. It was obvious that Moonlight had completely dominated the city.

People noticed Noah as he walked by. Not feeling any aura they thought it was low level, but he just had so much of it on. The three staffs on his back and the hood he had on were especially eye-catching.

Ignoring the gazes Noah was finally close enough as he heard a ding!

[Do you wish to enter the Floating Holy Library?]

"Yes."

With a flash of light, 10 gold had disappeared from his inventory. He heard that you only had one attempt per day to teleport into the library so if he said no, he would have to wait till tomorrow to enter.

The scent of wood and paper permeated inside, the library was spacious and silent. Dark fancy wood shelves went up to the ceiling. Filled with books, scriptures and scrolls. Golden lights floated around one came close and floated around Noah to give him light, as the only other light was through the stained glass windows,

The system gave him an introduction and told him the location of each section of books in the library.

Navigating through the labyrinth of shelves he found the section for dungeons.

"There are a lot of them," Noah so the uncountable number of books and nodded this was what he wanted. He had come here to investigate A Class dungeons. Neither the system nor the other libraries had information on them. He was confident he could find it here.

On his Levitation Staff, Noah picked a book out from the seventh row from the bottom. Each self had twenty different rows, each representing the amount of information and cost of reading. The book on the lowest and first row cost one gold. The one above it is two gold and so on. The top one costing 20 gold.

Noah looked read the blurb, then picked out a few books from higher shelves. He paid the system the gold. Then started reading through them under the golden light.

"...A Class dungeons are the final dungeons in the Protected Zone. The inside of each is a highly developed spatial zone that has grown to affect the area surrounding it..."

"...The overall population density of monsters is much lower due to how much the dungeon has expanded. Its actual population being 10-100 times greater than a B Class dungeon. The monsters are of a greater variety, form an ecosystem..."

"...They are more dangerous, developed to trap people who enter inside of them. Long winding paths that will constantly divide. The Dungeon Lord's Lair is protected well and can only be reached after passing through the entire dungeon.

Moving on to the type of monsters inside, "...A Class can have monsters of all classes inside, but are the only dungeon with A Class monsters. It was more likely to find special monsters like Elites and Dungeon Guardians..."

There was a book detailing the probability of drops, in each type of dungeon. From them A Class took the cake, having the highest probability of dropping D Class items and skills. It also had almost a hundred per cent probability of dropping A Class materials.

In a different book, it said that A Class dungeons have associate dungeons. These are lower rank dungeons that are connected to the A Class dungeon. Also said that the A Class section of the dungeon was limited to only ten people entering, it would not let anyone else into the dungeon.

"A maximum of ten people, the fight for who should enter will be fierce in the future. From what I've gathered, A Class dungeons weren't made to not be soloed. I'll either have to wait for the Red Foxes to get strong enough or form a team with Moonlight to run the dungeons."

Currently, only Moonlight had started running B Class dungeons and had disrupted his monopoly over them. The guild was much further ahead than all others, so it was likely they would be the first to try A Class dungeons as well.

Opening another book, he saw a lot of repetitive information until near the end, "A Class dungeons are mistakenly thought as the final challenge of a Protected Zone. They are just another way to harvest items, the final challenge are strong monsters that exceed the rank of A Class..."

"Oh? I haven't heard about this before." Going through it he found reference books listed at the end, finding the book number of the one he wanted he was able to locate it.

"Beyond A Class in the Protected Zone." It was on the top shelf and cost 20 gold.
