The past: a scary lady

I followed her inside her cottage, this was a living example of a perfect and sanitised house. all the things were maintained, from the living room to the kitchen, you could observe the calmness of elements of the yard. the sensation that grows in your body observing the scenery exterior was great. not only in the garden but they did the same inside the house. you could see the different species of flowers hanging throughout. she was leading me but in the middle what came up in her mind as she stopped, "you rest there, I will cook cookies. there is a remote, but watch the film in a low volume, grandma shouldn't get awaken, she rarely gets deep bedtime." she handed me the remote and herself headed to the kitchen.

well, I wasn't interested in watching the television, I had a strong feeling to scan all mo's cabin. by the living room, I found a very occupied room and I bet that was of mo's.

"mo, are you in the sixth standard? I shouted as soon as I find some sixth standard books in her cupboard.

she rushed from the kitchen and strongly pressed her right hand on my lips.

" didn't I say you do not make a sound?" she whispered.

"I took her hand off from my lip," I have to tell you something, I'm in the fifth standard. would you mind if I stayed there and take few glances at books?"

she smiled.

"since you are in sixth grade should I call you simply mo or senior."

"what makes you comfortable. she headed towards the kitchen. I was in mo's room, searching and jumping from one book to another. my passion for books was on another level since I don't even know.

suddenly I heard the car buzzer. I didn't give high attention as I was fully in books.

a few minutes later, I heard a sharp voice stuck at tough of my ear as if someone was yelling.

I peeked staying behind the door. there was a middle-aged woman the same age as my mother, I thought she was the woman that mo was mentioning.

" where is your grandma, what takes you so long to open the entrance huh? "she cracked the door, mo was following her, trying to explain the situation. she wondered here to there and finally her eye fell on me, I was sure she gonna scold me.

" who is this kid, you are not enough why adding another one?" she shook mo glaring at me. I stayed reasonably.

"mom he is the son of next door auntie, son of Mrs jade, Teja. Auntie is here to enjoy their leisure. that's why grandma and I were invited to lunch yesterday, grandma ended up waking up the whole night. she is resting, I tried waking her up but suddenly asthma attacked her so I gave her medicine. she is okay for now. " mo's paused much time, hesitantly she detailed everything.

"what grandma isn't healthy, how could you let grandma awake all night? good for nothing youngster." she took her eyes off from me, thank God!

mo brought a glass of water and handed it to her mother, on other hand I turned to a complete statue, I couldn't speak .no one had made me ashamed like this before. after a glass of water she regained her composure.

" you are the son of my childhood friend jade then, come out," she uttered.

I didn't know what to do, my leg got freezes right there. Gathering all the stamina I took a few steps towards her. her voice was stern so was her complexion.

"come there, I am not going to eat you. by the way, where is your mother?" she asked and sat me on the couch.

"Mommy is sleeping", I responded.

" Mommy doesn't be angry, they just had a long talk earlier.it will take time to heal." mo explain the situation again.

"you , good for nothing girl , don't teach me to be happy or angry. it's your fault , don't you know if she doesn't take rest in fixed time the danger is inevitable. you already turned 12, I don't know how long it will take for you to learn." she again scolded.

"Why are you wearing these handmade clothes again, didn't I send clothes."..

" ga, my dear when did you arrive. It's been so long not watching you" grandma eyes full of moisture as soon as she found Auntie there.

"Mommy, how are you, if you don't feel comfortable here then why not shift to alas, we can check out your health from the succeeding doctor." question popped out from auntie's mouth one by one.

"nothing severe, it's just a sign of my age.sit, you must have been tired from the long path." grandma clutched her hand and they sat on the sofa together.
