While I was offered to go on a joyride in Miss Martians Bioship, I declined, wanting to get my room set up as well as not really having any desire to be in the spotlight with the light.
I also wanted to explore the cave as if I remember correctly there is a small water feature in the grotto that I can meditate by and think on my future actions while the team is away.
—————————————————
It's been a few hours and Red Tornado called me to inform me of what is going on but I wasn't sent as backup as Miss Martian already had a plan.
Eventually they all came back, some bruises but all seemingly in decent spirits. I guess they did technically beat their first villain as a team. Sadly I was going to have to chastise them a little bit.
"I hear congratulations are in order" I tell the group of teens as they walk into the living area of the cave.
Most of the just smirk at that. "But I also heard you blame your rookie for throwing out a possibility, a possibility that every single one of you agreed with out of some sort of inferiority complex, and then blamed her when the idea, which you "experienced" heroes should have known was unlikely to be accurate in the first place as Red wouldn't have put people in danger just to "test" you all." I tell them all flatly. They looked agape at me for a moment then most of them looked ashamed.
Megan took that moment to speak up seeing her team look upset "it's ok friends!" She added in her cheery voice. "We worked it out in the end and we won!" She told everyone with a smiling face.
I just sighed, she was the forgiving sort it seemed. While I'm a nice guy I still would have let them stew for a few minutes at least. Oh well.
"We'll just as long as you know you didn't actually do anything wrong" I told the green girl with a shrug. Her response was to just float over to me and give me a hug with a mental 'thank you' in my mind.
With that done I quickly walked off to my room leaving several abashed male teens behind. I already had plans to go meet Diana at her apartment in New York tomorrow morning anyways so I would be turning in early tonight.
——————————————-
I was finally on my way out of the cave after a quick breakfast with Megan as Superboy is sleeping in slightly on the weekend it seems, either that or he doesn't want to be there with me there? Doesn't matter really as I don't really like his attitude anyways.
I decided I would simply fly there, it would probably take about 20 or 30 minutes but I could use the fresh air and all that jazz anyways.
As I was entering the city something unfortunate happened, a ship almost plowed into my ass with me dodging out of the way at the last second. Shit almost gave me a heart attack.
This was somewhat giving me deja-vu, there are only so many obvious alien landings that I know of and several of them revolve around a hot orange skinned space princess. Oooh please be a hot space princess!
With that thought in mind I landed, giving myself some distance in case this gets violent quickly. I know if it's her, she is strong and confused and if it's an unknown well.. space would be advised anyways. Before things began I decided I better call Diana also, don't want her to think I bailed on her.
"Hey Diana!" I say out into my ear piece cheerily. "I may be a little late today, I seem to have a spacecraft crash landing in front of me." There was a pause for a second. "I am tracking your signal, I will be there in a few minutes." She said it in the flattest voice I think possible. "Yesss ma'am l!" I probably would have waited but didn't want to look stupid.
I'm just thankful that I decided to fly in my costume today. I don't overly much care about a secret identity but it's worth it to not be hassled too much in public.(picture will be in comments of this and last chapter)
Then I noticed that the idiot squishy people aren't yet moving away. The area isn't that busy right now but it's a city so there are dozens of people standing around. How annoying. It took a minute to get them to go away and while I was doing that the person who I thought would disembark in fact did so.
I floated into the air and moved closer to her. She was most certainly beautiful. (StarFire rebirth version) with her long red hair, pretty orange skin and glowing green eyes, she wore a purple and silver one piece with the same colored leggings and arm sleeves. She certainly struck a nice figure all combined.
As I floated closer to her, still about 15 meters away with my hands up in a what I hope is a universal signal of peace. A can see the panic in her eyes and her demeanor even as I try to talk softly, the girl seems almost terrified. Maybe it's my armor? She also looks confused. "Alright there let's just staaay calm!" I tell her as I slowly take of my helmet as she tenses up. As I hold my helmet under my arm I walk closer while talking softly, it's obvious we can't understand each other at this point.(even if I knew this already it's still annoying)
As I got closer to her I could tell she wasn't exactly in the best of shape, she had some pretty brutal looking bruises from what I could see and she was favoring one side over the other.
This will either work really well or really badly for me with what I'm going to do next. "Just be calm darling." I try to tell her soothingly as I reached out and touched one of her bruises as she flinched. I'm not sure if it was from pain or fear because my hands glowed a golden color. Either way her pain quickly receded with her bruises disappearing.
She spoke softly after that before reaching forward towards me and dragging me towards her, not that I was protesting. As our lips met there was a strange feeling like I was automatically using my power to heal her or she was absorbing the power I was letting off maybe? Kind of like I absorb solar radiation if I had to guess.
Well it had to feel good to her because she was pressed up against me tightly and I didn't think she was going to be letting go anytime soon. Also I don't remember the kiss she gave Robin lasting anywhere near this long but she seemed to be deepening it as our tongues seemed to be fighting their own battle. Oh well, just live in the moment and all that.
Then there was a voice clearing their throats behind us, we parted slowly as we both tended slightly though now that my brain was working again I could sense Diana behind me.
"H-hey Wonder Woman!" I told her cheerily as I turned to look at her. She just looked at me with a raised eyebrow and I just sighed and turned back to the alien space babe.
"Hello, my name is Koriand'r but I believe that translates to StarFire in your language, I apologize, my people can learn someone's language through kissing." She told me with a slight darkening of her cheeks meaning that what we did was most certainly more than that.
Diana just looked amused at that. "You may call me Diana, and I believe you have already met my brother, in his armor, call him Jasper, once in private, he can give you his real name." Diana took control quickly as she walked up to StarFire, accessing her I would guess.
While they talked for a moment I spread my senses as I felt another strong presence in the area. Huh, I guess they did join at the same time in some versions so maybe that's her as well. "Diana I think there is someone else nearby, she seems empowered in some way to my senses but also… tired? I can't exactly tell from just sensing but she is somewhat cloaked in the alleyway to our left." I told her as quietly as I could.
Diana nodded and began to walk in that direction, I held my hand out to StarFire and she quickly took it and we followed quickly behind her.

Raven POV
I'm tired of running, I won't survive much longer as I am, alone and surviving on the streets, constantly forced to keep moving. My visions are clouded but I can sense someone nearby, they have a strong power within them, I wonder if it's possible that they could help me? I can sense that they are a good person at least.
Then it happened, something came shooting down from the sky not too far from where she was hidden in an alleyway, a man quickly following it landing not far from the object. He is the one I felt.
Then he met the stranger and they had their standoff. I thought I would have to intervene, not because he wasn't powerful enough to handle himself but because the girl was simply terrified. Then he took off his helmet and did everything to calm her down. He must be slightly empathic as well would be my guess.
Oh shit, they are all looking and now walking in my direction, Wonder Woman in the front.

Normal POV
A girl no older than 18 came out of the shadows no more than 10 meters in front of us. This was definitely Raven with her purple cloak and black long sleeved leotard. She looks tired and malnourished, maybe dehydrated as well. I feel horrible for her as I know sort of what she's going through, living on the streets, though she has it way worse as I'm sure she is also hunted.
This is somewhat of an awkward meeting and not how I would choose to do it and I'm by no means a people person to begin with. "Hello, my name is Jasper, are you ok? I asked just to get something going.
Raven just stares for a moment before responding. "I am …ok.. I just heard the impact and wanted to make sure people were ok.." she obviously isn't a people person either. Though for some reason I can see a little smirk appear and then disappear from Diana.
Then I understood as she spoke up next. "Would you like to come with us young lady? I have a feeling you could use a place to stay just as much as our new friend does."
While they are talking I slowly reach out to raven. I moved slowly so she could back away if she was uncomfortable with me healing her. It might not do much but it should help some. She didn't seem to be afraid of me even when my hands were glowing a golden color which confused me slightly but then I remembered she is empathic and would feel my intentions at least.
After a few seconds her skin tone took on a more healthy complexion, she seemed to fill out just slightly, no longer looking unhealthy. It took a lot of energy out of me for some reason. Maybe ten times what it took to heal StarFire, though she was barely wounded.
Then I felt it. I didn't just heal her body… I somewhat fortified her.. spirit? Maybe something along that line anyways. The look of relief on her face though looks like a burden had been slightly relieved and the thankful look she sent me said more than words ever could.
"Thank you" she murmured lightly almost under her breath though I still heard it and gave her a nod.
"What about the ship?" I asked Wonder Woman curious what would happen to it.
"Green lantern is already on the way and is going to move it to the watchtower."
StarFire spoke up soon after giving what information she could. "It is an gordanian escape pod, I took it after I wiped the computers of my destination to make my escape." She sighed at that hoping she didn't bring her new friends trouble.
"It will be ok Star, we will figure things out." I told her lightly giving her hand a squeeze. She just gave me a smile and hugged my arm tightly.
With that all done we all made our way to Diana's apartment, she cared about as much about identities as I did it seemed as I figured we would go to Mount justice or something. But I guess lunch was still on even if late as both girls seemed starved and needed to get cleaned up plus their outfits thrown in the wash.
Good thing Diana had a fairly large apartment or we wouldn't have all fit, though I ended up on the couch and the girls with the spare room.
