She Needed To Pull Herself Together

Penelope was so confused by what was happening that she still hadn't managed to wrap her fuzzy head around it but she was so grateful Percy was here. She didn't know what she would have done if he hadn't picked up the phone. 

"What happened to you?" he asked with a frown. 

"I have no idea. Something weird is going on. I shouldn't be here. I was in the hospital for an appendectomy!" she exclaimed somewhat hysterically. 

"What? No you weren't—I texted you earlier today and you were at work, completely fine. Exactly how hard did you hit your head?"

Penelope's blood ran cold, remembering the uniform she was wearing. "Where do you think I work?"

"Uh…you work at Vitacall and Long's Pharmacy. Are you okay?" Percy asked in a tone that clearly indicated she had lost her mind.
