You Really Love Her, Don't You?

"Percy…what if the other me messes things up in my world? My husband and I have known each other for eighteen years. There's no way he wouldn't notice something wrong even if she didn't suddenly start saying things about how she wasn't married," Penelope fretted.

Percy gave her a wry smile. "Think about it. You said you just went under for an appendectomy, right? Which means she probably woke up all wacked out on anesthesia. If she does say something strange, it will probably be played off."

"Unless she continues saying strange things long after it should have worn off."

He shook his head. "Have a little faith in your brother—your real brother, I mean. If I was able to notice you weren't the right Penelope Logan, he will be too. I'm willing to bet he's coaching her on how not to ruin things with your husband."
