The Message

The next few weeks passed in a blur. Percy did fix Penelope's car at a basic level so it stopped making funny noises. She felt much more secure driving around after that. 

Work was awful and her sanity was barely hanging by a thread. Having to rely on herself without Roman's emotional support was a real eye opener. She began to wonder if she had been taking his calm presence for granted all this time. 

She would be sure to let him know how much she appreciated when she was able to see him again. Because she would see him again! She had to believe that or she would completely lose her mind.

But that became more difficult as time went on. No matter how many hours she or Percy spent trying to get through to the other side, there was never any response. She was beginning to think she would actually be stuck here.
