The sky was crowded with dense clouds that even the sunrise was obscured. Eagles flew around the prison and crows flew above the palace in large. The capital is no longer in peace. The streets were filled with people worried about their queen; though she was not crowned officially. They waited for their prince's action and his majesty's verdict declaring her innocent.
The court was unrest. Ministers were debating among them about the probability of her crime. Even the arrival of the king couldn't completely stop this uncertainty. Their whispering filled the walls of the Amaian court. A massive bolt of lightning flashed in the sky rumbling the court. It became silent all of a sudden. The atmosphere started to be eerie. The morbid silence filled in the pillars of the court. The ministers were anxious at the bad omens. The loud footstep of a battalion echoed on the ground. Yuvan entered the court perspiringly with his sub-generals.
"Father.." He bowed with troubled eyes.
"What happened??"
"Father, the morning I received a white rose and a letter saying 'COURT' written in blood. " The word court fickled the people present.
"Rose??.. A cobra??"
"Yes, Naman. their intentions are unclear. He turned towards the guards, Be alert!! They are up to something." The court again dived into deep silence. Even the wind blowing outside echoed in the court.
"Long live the king! a guard rushed inside, the commandery princess Mekala seeks audience."
"What?? Why is she here?" Mahesh asked the guard.
"General, She said it's an emergency and is holding a white rose."
"What?? Let her in. Quick" Yuvan ordered.
Mekala rushed in with the same answer as Yuvan; a letter with 'COURT'. But her answer had an extension. " The letter also contained the fazan I lost. Her eyes changed, It was dipped in blood. I... I am afraid..."
Ashok stood aside and was watching the drama.' Now since the audience is here, let us the cobras present our latest show; the awakening of the snake.'
Out of blue, the court was filled with white fumes. They were starting to feel dizzy. But the fumes were stopped within a minute. When the air was clear, they saw a huge box in front of them with a letter, 'GIFT TO MEKALA'. Mekala was stumbling but walked towards the box. It was covered with a red cloth. Yuvan and his group went near the box. He touched the cloth, the red die stained his hands. "Its blood..." This petrified the court. He threw the cloth out. Beneath it was a big box. It had deep inscriptions of Serpents. Blood filled the inscriptions and was dripping down. Abhik slowly pushed the lid. He jumped back, his hands were shaking and his eyes bulged; he stood like a petrified ghost.
"Abhik... Abhik.." Yuvan shook him
"Fazan... Fazan.." He was blabbering. Yuvan fumed and drew his sword out slashing the box into pieces. The whole screamed at the gift.
