Hereditary Constitution

'Today is not gonna work either, is it?' he wondered. He would have to wait until late into the day for his Yin to Heat conversion technique to work.

It was just before the dawn right now and Hyesi and his mother had already awoken. Ning was also awoken by the system at the same time. Since he couldn't absorb any energy, he felt really bored and had gone to sleep.

Slowly, more and more of the villagers started to wake up, ready to cultivate as more and more light started arising from the horizon.

Everyone started doing their daily routine waiting for the first light of the day to arrive. Ning got to working on his own thing.

'It will be up any minutes now,' he thought as he looked at the horizon and realized that the sun would be up at any minute now.

He started concentrating and used the technique. A sudden unnatural coldness started to converge on the stone that he inhabited. All yin from a 5 meter radius was now on him.

This meant that everyone close to Hyesi had their Yin energy taken out of them.

The sun slowly started rising from the east. Just then, all the yin energy that Ning had collected also started to turn to heat energy, staying around the stone in the necklace.

Yang energy came from the sun and started washing over the bodies of the different people in the village. Hyesi shuddered a little as he felt the most impact from the pure yang energy.

The pain on the outside let him know that his god was looking after him, while the pain inside of him told him that his god was also helping him from the inside.

He felt a sudden surge of strength as the yang energy finally finished cleansing his body. He abruptly opened his eyes as coldness tried to enter him after his god was done blessing his body.

Ning had stopped using the technique as the mental fatigue from it was starting to catch up to him. 'Oh god that is so hard to keep up. You do all that to collect the Yin, turning it into heat, and in the end, it doesn't even matter.'

The heat around him had already gone back to being Yin. Some of it disappeared in the atmosphere, while some tried to enter the closest body without the sunlight in it, Hyesi.

Hyesi shuddered as some managed to get inside him, while some remained outside. He balanced himself and got down on his knees, like everybody else, to pray and thank the sun god, Inikaka.

Hyesi walked into the forest like everyday, and started to reflexively pick up the dried leaves.

"What are you doing?" Ning asked.

"Picking up the dried leaves for your fire, Inikaka."

"Oh, you won't need to do that anymore. I will let you know if I require it again. For today, you are free to do whatever you want. Although, tell me, Did that work? Did I help you or not?" Ning was genuinely curious.

"I think so, Inikaka. I feel like you have helped me tremendously," Hyesi said as he made a fist, feeling the power within.

"Good, Good," Ning said, "We keep doing this for a while an you will be incredibly strong. You will surpass your mother in no time." Ning tried to hype up Hyesi.

'Although, that might not happen. Given that his mother is always within 5 meters of him during the morning cultivation, she might end up becoming the strongest at this rate. He will never get to be the man of the house. Speaking of which…'

"Hey, Hyesi. I haven't seen your father around. Where is he?" Ning decided to ask.

"My father? I heard he died in a fishing accident when I was young," said Hyesi.

"Oh, how did he die in a fishing accident?" Ning asked. 'Aren't most people here super tough? What sort of fishing accident kills them?' he wondered.

"Apparently, my father always had a weak body, even weaker than mine and one day he ended up having to fight a giant fish near the ocean and was taken down by the fish. I was around 2 years old when this happened."

"Hmm…" Ning got curious, "and your grandfather?" he asked.

"Mother's father is still alive, in the village. But my father's father was dead before I was even born. They say he too was weak. In fact, in my entire lineage, despite being very weak, I am the strongest," Hyesi seemed both proud and sad while saying that.

' Everyone in the male side of the family weak? Is this a hereditary case of Yin Constitution?' he wondered. "Don't worry, You won't be weak anymore."

Ning just made Hyesi do normal, for the Klavians at least, exercises. He didn't bother absorbing any energy as he wanted to do that tomorrow morning.

The day quickly went by and night came. Since they came back, the leader's group hadn't left again. Although, they seemed to be making plans to attack the demon in the water once more.

Night went by as well and morning arrived before anyone knew. Hyesi woke up from his sleep. So did Ning. The villagers started to slowly gather outside their homes, ready to perform the morning routines. Even the children were awake.

As the sun started to let them know it was coming, the Klavians proceeded to do their morning cultivation. Slowly their body started to glow.

'Now is a good time,' Ning thought as he activated his Yin to Heat conversion technique. Slowly, Yin started gathering around him, turning into heat.

The mental stress from the technique today was far worse than anything he had felt during the last two times. 'Is it because I am actually absorbing the heat?' he wondered.

Before the sun even rose up, he hit the Cap. The sun finally rose up after a few minutes and the energy washed over everyone's body. Hyesi felt his strength increase once more.
