"We're leaving tomorrow?" Shara asked around dinner time, surprised by how quickly it was. She had more or less expected them to be staying in the city for a longer time.
What she was even more surprised by was the fact that they were going back up the mountain. "Are we returning to Jameen?" she asked.
"No, just to the forest. About a day away."
"Why?" Shara asked, confused.
"To help those people up there," Ning said. "Don't say anything. I know what you might be thinking. Keep it for later."
Shara was most definitely about to object, but Ning's words got her to stop immediately. Still, she couldn't help but think about it thoroughly. It was such a bad idea for her. To help those people that could be bandits.
Ning hadn't told her much about those men, so it was understandable why she was so concerned.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Shara asked later and Ning nodded. There wasn't much she needed to know.
