Were finally back in his mansion and didn't expect that lots of people were setting the venue. They are familiar, if i'm not mistaken these people are those freaks who love to screw around Jarred's building.
They are rearranging the settings and seem like implanting some weapons everywhere possible for easy reach.
Jarred didn't tell me about his plan but what I'm seeing right now indicates a massacre.
That psycho idiot.
I headed to my room and started to figure out if this would truly work.
What's he planning to do?
What am I planning to do?
A knock on my door distracted my thoughts.
"Ms. Khalil? I came to assist you with your make up tonight" a young woman informed me and I walked to open the door.
"Please come in"
---
"I think you'll be just fine with those heels ms. Khalil" she almost cringed and I couldn't bear it anymore and pulled it out of my feet.
"That stupid crap will be the death of me" i hissed as she went to pick up the heels and brought it back to my feet.
"I don't wan-"
"But you don't have a choice" she cuts in, making me feel silent. She's absolutely right.
I sighed frustrated and wore it again but I didn't dare walk nor stand.
"Just dont mind it and concentrate with your balance, be confident and everything will go smoothly" she advised but i didn't move.
"Thank you for your service but you may go out now" I stated and she nodded politely.
When she's out of my room I tried to do what she advised and I managed to walk in front of the mirror.
My straight dark hair was cleanly tied up simply and the red velvet bodycon dress that exposed almost all of my bosom and had a high slit up on my thigh.
I looked like a stripper at a high-end bar.
My makeup, well. Just light with the glossy lips and a light brown eyeshadow with glitters, so handy.
I tried to walk once more but I tripped again landing on the floor.
"Fuck this!" I hissed then I suddenly heard my door open. Respectful.
"I was knocking for who knows how long a-"
I thought, He was startled. He is basically staring down at me bluntly.
"Mind to give a hand?" I asked, snapping him out of his illusion.
"I, Jarred, ordered me to escort you down the long table" he looked away as he took my hand and helped me to get up and steady me on my feet.
"I don't think I could walked properly with this heels" i huffed
"That's why I was here to escort you" he replied dryly
"You don't get what I mean Harrison, I can't walked in my own"
"You have no other choice"
His statement caught me off guard, I heard the same thing with the young woman.
I clung to his arm and we started to walk. This time more effective. I managed to not trip and my feet feel slowly being accustomed.
Till we reached the stairs. I heaved a heavy sigh.
"Harrison carry me down" I advised feeling my legs start to tremble.
"Not happening" he shortly replied
"I can't, I'll end up dead if I took one step down" i whispered
"What do you mean you can't?! You're fine when we get here!" He hissed.
We're just standing and staring down the stairs for too long to be normal. Some of Jarred's minions glanced up on our position, making me more nervous.
"Come on! It'll be qui-"
He didn't listen and just held my waist and my arm.
"You'll be fine" he whispered in my ears and with his sudden action I found myself nodding and started to step down.
"See? Now, step on your own" he stated but when he was about to let go i grip on his arm and continue finding support on him.
He hissed and didn't complain till reach few more down and I finally let him retreat his arms away from me. I focused on my balance and before I could step one down my heels got caught on the stairs and I failed to maintain my balance and I would stupidly land on the floor face first.
But not. A figure instantly came to save me and catched me with his arms. It's not Harrison since he was far gone not even minding about his muse.
"You alright love?"
The voice was enough to freeze every nerve I have. I instantly looked up and found the face I tried to forget.
"Larryson" I muttered, still dazed at the sight of him.
He steadied me and pulled down my dress that slightly went up with the act.
"You're stunning" he complimented but his eyes shows something else
"Isn't she?, I'm glad you have met my fiance Mr. Robbins"
My eyes went wide as I heard Jarred's statement. I didn't know what to think at first, by the fact that he calls me his fiance or the fact that Larryson was the one he called Mr. Robbins. It's not his surname.
"Fiance? Oh, well there's no doubt she's totally your type" Larrison stated grinning
"Shall we?" Jarred requested and took my hand to cling it around his arm.
This isn't good.
We were all seated on the long table as the visitors, which I assumed was Larryson's company.
Jarred makes signals and a few guys enter with a platter of wine in their hands and serve us.
The wine in front of me is enticing my dry throat and so I gulped it down in one go not listening to what is Jarred's speaking out.
I can't calm down my tension.
I stared towards Jarred's glass of wine and absentmindedly took it and drank it all at once as well.
"Someone's thirsty, don't worry honey I'll let you drink all of me later tonight" I heard Jarred teased and ladies at the table just giggled. I gazed towards Larryson across from me and he was watching me intently. I looked away and tapped my fingers on my lap nervously.
"So, Giovanni, have you made up your mind?" I heard Larryson bring up.
"Mr. Robbins before anything else, what makes you think I'll agree with you?" Jarred asked playfully
"Cause your father told so" Larryson simply answered
"And you think I'm scared of him?" Jarred asked tauntingly
"Who knows? I don't force you to team up with me but your father insisted so-"
"Then i refused then" Jarred cuts in making Larryson balled his fist.
"Stop bothering my company, isn't my money the one you're After?" Jarred bluntly stated.
"Tell me how much do you need and-"
He cannot continue his sentence when multiple guns are already pointed at us, especially in his direction. Once more I saw how aggressive Larryson's men and the ladies are.
Jarred just chuckled. "How daring Mr. Robbins" he mocked
"They're not my people, they are your father's," Larryson replied as he drank his wine.
"The Director ordered us to shoot you if you dare decline the proposal" one of them spoke
"My, my, what a threat" Jarred again chuckled.
I can't help but feel angry at the same time bewildered by these turning events. And what kind of a father he has?!
"As you can see this proposal is important, Giovanni" Larryson muttered as he took the folder the woman was lending.
"You could sign it up or I'll kill this beautiful and slaying woman in front of me," he added as he raised his hand and pointed a gun at me.
My heart automatically races painfully in my chest that even the wine's effect suddenly vanishes.
He was pointing a gun at my face without any remorse. And the tension in my surroundings begins to feel suffocating.
"I hate to admit it but she's not that important, so i don't really care, what's with the hostility Mr. Robbins?" Jarred replied, pushing me more to go rabid.
The smirked that flattered in Larryson's face was trying to prove me that I'll never be worthy for anyone else and they could easily throw me away if they have to.
Like he did.
I turned to his company and I think I saw their guns all pointed at me and held their trigger. I looked back at Larryson and he didn't care as well as Jarred who was just watching me with a blank expression.
I absentmindedly held the table and tried to search for weapons , possibly hid but unfortunately none. I slumped my head on the table in defeat but just an act as I swiftly took off my pointed heels, I laughed like a lunatic before slowly rising up. All of them were looking at me confused.
"Y'all are bothering me" i muttered then smashing the pointed heel at the guy's eye beside me who's pointing his gun at my head, and as expected gunshots are followed so i duck down the table, i took off the gun at dead guy's hand and gun the near legs i could see under the table since they all started running out of the area.
I crawled fast out of that place as well when a hand grabbed my hair then a metal pressed at the back of my head.
"Don't move" Larryson ordered but a gunshot was heard and he hissed as he felt the metal behind my head Vanished.
I turned and pointed the gun on him but he just watched me.
"What? You're gonna shoot me?" He questioned as if judging me
"I will" I hissed and slightly pressed the trigger.
"Go on Roan, you had betrayed me worse, this isn't different" he grinned but laced with hostility.
For a second my index finger can't pull the trigger as I focused it on him.
"You can't, of course. You loved me afterall" he muttered as he again pointed his gun at me.
" And I don't" he added and for a reason I closed my eyes and waited for him to blow my head.
"I signed the contract, now you may leave" I heard someone speak almost breathlessly. I opened my eyes and only to be frozen by the sight, the mansion was smeared with blood, people lying on the floor uncertain if alive or not.
I turned towards Jarred and his face had blood as well as his hands and his suit. What the hell happened?
"You heard me Mr. Robbins? or you've gone deaf that you hadn't even noticed nor heard anything and you're the last one standing on my floor" Jarred serious voice is terrifying me. How did it all happen?
"Leave before I decide to bury you together with these wastes" Jarred gritted and Larryson never uttered a word as he seemed startled as well.
He took the folder at the table and started to hassle out.
"You should've known who's you're messing with" Jarred voiced out coldly yet blatantly as Larryson ran out of the house alone.
I threw the gun out of my hand and tried to stand on my feet. I stepped upstairs when a hand stopped me.
