Late morning has come but this day felt different, it feels empty despite the pleasure I had last night.
Jarred's gone, and I could care less about where on earth he might be. The thing that bothers me is how I will be able to win against Larrison. How could I possibly use Jarred to win against him? Should I be making plans?
A knock on my door snapped me back to my senses and I got up and opened it to see Harrison towering in front, he gazed down to meet my eyes but an utter shock was written in his eyes as he muttered a string of curses.
A realization just hit me and I quickly slammed the door shut and ran towards the bed and quickly dressed up.
"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" I cussed as I wore the leggings and almost tripped feeling a little bit exhausted about last night
I stood behind my door hesitant to open it but I did eventually.
Harrison is still there but now leaning at the wall with a frown.
"Wh-what is it?" I asked awkwardly
"Gio ordered that I must take you to his building" he muttered as if nothing happened.
"Okay, please wait up for a few minutes I'll just take a quick shower" I informed and he didn't respond and walked out. I stepped back inside
And just noticed that my room is already fixed and organized. Oh, they cleaned my mess while I'm asleep. Thank goodness.
After a quick shower, I wore just the usual high-waisted and comfortable leggings and a tee paired with a jacket and rubber shoes.
I headed down, took Jarred's snack from the fridge and went out. I saw Harrison leaning on the van with crossed arms.
"Let's go" I called out as he just noticed me and eventually hopped in and started to drive.
The ride was silent and I felt like I had something to tell him. I turned towards him, who had an icy expression. Oh, right!
"Um, thank you for last night" I muttered looking in the front. I felt him turn towards me and so I did as well. He didn't reply but stayed silent.
"Are we dealing over something?" I asked
"I don't think so, but I guess you will" he Replied
"I will? I have a task?" I asked confused
"No idea" he shortly replied
It didn't take long when we finally arrived at Jarred's building and headed straight to his office. Harrison didn't even bother to knock and just opened the door revealing the man who was looking for me and another familiar figure who sat on the couch.
My hands quickly stole the gun which was tucked behind Harrison but before I could pull the trigger towards the person, Harrison was too quick to swat the gun out of my hand.
"Not too fast Ms. Conrad" I heard a ridiculous mocking voice coming from Larrison who seemed now aware of our presence. He didn't even turn but remained gazing at our reflection on the flat screen tv in front of him.
I turned towards Jarred who looked amused with what he was watching.
"What's the meaning of this Jarred?" I hissed warningly and glared at Harrison
"You don't need to know" he shortly replied before standing up from his seat.
"you see, I have a task for you, I need y-"
"What is this person doing here?!" I yelled furiously as a feeling of betrayal slowly washed over me. How could he even give me a task after devastating me all night?
"Roana my love, what's with t-"
"You have no fucking right to talk to me!" I blurted out aloud not sparing Larrison a look.
"Khalil, you need to calm down-..."
I didn't dare listen to Jarred at all as I picked up the nearest possible weapon from me and when Harrison was noticeably ready to block me again I pointed it to him letting him know I wouldn't hesitate if he tried me.
"Really?" he questioned tauntingly. I didn't respond but tried to attack him with just a ball pen. I prayed this ball pen wasn't just a simple writing tool and so I pulled the cover where it commonly hid the ink tube and to my luck, It wasn't but a sharp and pointed silver metallic weapon. I almost grinned but I was too furious.
"All you have to do is get the fuck out of my way" I hissed but he didn't weaver.
I threw the weapon straight towards Jarred but he was too fast to catch my hand and brought it above causing the ball pen to go upwards and planted at the ceiling. He twisted my arm to my behind and I struggled as hard as I could but the pain in my back and the soreness from my core inflicted a searing pain that brought me down on my knees whimpering. My legs started to tremble and the whimpers I tried to suppress became ragged exhalations.
"A-are you alright?" A hesitant voice came out from Harrison.
"Let go of my hands" I breathed desperately as I strongly felt the need to somehow ease up the pain.
He immediately let go of me causing me to drop to the floor and I went incredibly Embarrassed as I brought my hands on my center to apply a bit of pressure.
My hard breathing was the only sound heard in the room, I ignored the gazes boring in my position and just remained unmoving on the floor.
"Gio, she seems in pain," Harrison asked almost innocently. My eyes averted and accidentally landed on Larrison.
He has no expression, just looking down at me like it wasn't his concern.
"Take her back home" Jarred ordered, making Harrison a bit hesitant.
"Tell me you're able to walk right?" Harrison's icy expression came back.
I tried to stand up and I did, I took a step with my wobbling legs heading towards Larrison.
"I won't ever forgive you for taking away My Danny" I hissed as my vision blurred with brimming tears.
He just stared at me still with blank emotion and for an unknown reason, it shattered my heart again, knowing I could clearly see and prove that he didn't care nor feel even a bit of remorse anymore.
I turned my back to him and glanced briefly towards Jarred, giving him the deadliest glare for making me look so pathetic and a loser in front of the person I wanted to win against.
He didn't flinch or blink and just watched every single move I made. I looked away and turned to Harrison.
"Fucking carry me or we'll take years before we reached down" I gritted impatiently.
He raised his eyebrow as if he couldn't believe what he heard.
"You're not my b-"
"Carry her" Jarred and Larrison spoke in unison.
Harrison frowned and scoffed. He finally stepped closer to me and was ready to carry me but not in a way I expected it to be. He lifted me on his shoulder like a sack bag.
"Not that way stupid! Put me down!" I yelled as I hit his back, utterly uncomfortable with the position.
The next thing that happened caught my breath in my throat and made me freeze.
Did he, did he just smack my butt?
It fucking hurts!
"There, stay shut before I throw you on the wall" he threatened as he opened the office door, after it might have closed, I saw the two men watching our retreat with a frown on their faces.
As we were walking in the hallway I covered my face in embarrassment as a few prying eyes watched us till we got in the elevator.
"Y-you can put me down" I muttered almost defeated
He just makes a sound of disapproval and carefully puts me down.
As we reached the ground floor I immediately took Harrison's arm to find support and he seems startled by my sudden action
"Come on Harrison cut the virgin act and be a gentleman for once" I muttered dryly
"I'm not" he gritted, as he started stepping out
"Whatever"
