The Boys Get Attacked By Serpents

The boys are going on their way. Suddenly Alvin says to stop. Luke asks "What's the matter?"

Alvin says "Serpents, be careful."

Ren says "That Smugger… "

Alvin says "I didn't say anything about Smugger. I said serpents. It's either Basilisk or Typhoon."

And then the ground begins to rumble  and the boys look around. 

Suddenly serpents start leaping at them. Alvin quickly comes in the way and slays them. Then some vamp-wolves come in front. Seeing them Alvin asks "What are these? "

Nathan says "Vamp-wolves, half vampire and half werewolves. The despise us as much as we dispose of them."

One vamp-wolf says "Oh, we don't despise you, we just think being one is way better and more powerful. (looking at Alvin) Oh, we have a new face. Attack. "

The serpents attack but Alvin tackles them easily.
