As the girls leave, Jane holds Ellis' hand tighter than before. Seeing her, Ellis says, "Jane, easy on the grip. My hand is on your belly; I don't want to harm you."
But Jane's grip only gets tighter than before. Ellis panics and tries to loosen the grip; then, what he feels, he never wanted to. He felt a dark demonic presence around him that was trying to enter Jane. But because of his hand on her belly, it was unable to. So, he slowly removes his right hand from her hand and places his left hand back on her belly, and then he was going to take action, but suddenly the demonic feeling fades away.
Ellis waits for a few minutes to confirm, then he notices Jane has also eased up, and the baby is also feeling stable. As he was about to take his hand off, Jane woke up and stopped him. Sighing, she says, "Don't; can you sleep with your hand on?"
Smiling Ellis says, "Jane, I always sleep with my hand on your belly."
