King Zander's Warnings

Drinking human blood was both common and recommended for a healthy diet.

However, to drink another vampire's blood possessed a great significance.

When one vampire drank another vampire's blood, it was considered to be a sacred act.

Since all vampires yearned for blood, to give up your source of existence to another was said to be the utmost sign of love.

Usually, when one found their mate, they would seal their relationship by drinking the other person's blood to display their affection and loyalty.

This act was similar to how werewolves would mark their mates to show sovereignty over them.

It also formed a bond between the two souls when such a mark was left on the other person.

Vampires shared this common trait with them but instead of a simple bite, they would consume their mate's blood to mark them as theirs.
