The dull yellow lights of the classroom shone through Angels eyelids, a thin line of light hitting the blue ring around her pupils. Angel wakes up looking around trying to take in her current surroundings. A typical classroom plain white walls a black board behind her long desk in front of her. Leaning on the desk a man with blonde hair fair complexion wearing a red suit with a maroon undershirt, his hand out to the side holding him in place grabs a pencil and throws it to the left of Angel hitting Virgil on the top of his head. He shoots straight up a thin line of spit connecting his cheek to a small puddle on the desk. "Well you two are finally up. That's good...means we didn't overdo it." Virgil barely awake still answers the mystery man
"Where's my sword?" The one track mind of Virgil bringing out the smallest of smiles from the mystery man
"You mean this want it back?" The light hits a well made sword with a black blade the beveled edge a cool grey the curve giving way to serrated edge lower still an intricately wrapped handle even through years of use the cloth still taught as if made yesterday. Just underneath the cloth a small steel demon head. The light reflecting off of the blade wakes Virgil up fully. Enraged he yells "Give it back now!!" The mystery man not missing a beat looks down his nose at his fiery male captive
"Come get it..."
Virgil relished the opportunity immediately leaning forward using his hands to push himself up. Wait no he wasn't in his still half awake sleep Virgil hadn't noticed the tightness going across his upper biceps along his back and chest in a thin line seeing that Virgil had finally figured it out the mysterious man took the chance to gloat every so slightly.
"oh wait you can't the spell must still be in effect so I'll cut you a deal. You tell me who you two are and you can try to get it back."
Angel seeing her brother not in the best shape to talk his mind delayed from sleep but still fuming with rage at the sight of someone else with his sword answers the man.
"Nobody, we were sent to go to train for the resistance. Our father told us to go to Silver Sword Academy." If the man leaning on the desk found the answer agreeable or not he showed no signs of it he leaned against the desk just listening to the answer mulling it over.
"Now my sword! Give it back!"
Getting pulled from his thoughts the man walked up to Virgil and kneeling so he was face to face with the loud youth. Shaking his head said
"No no no, you misheard. I said try to get it back and plus I need more information."
By this point the sweat started to bubble at Virgil's forehead he looked toward Angel for any type of assistance in this matter. Angel giving him a slight nod was all he need to know
"Fine. I'm Virgil. This is my sister, Angel. We were out looking for the Silver
Sword Academy and Oh and one more thing, TAKE OFF THIS DAMN SPELL!!!
Amused with the feistiness the mystery man humor Virgil. "Virgil is it? Say please."
Before Virgil has a second to say anything else seeing as the situation is going nowhere Angel answers for her brother
"My brother isn't very good with the please word or being away from his sword so please dont egg him on."
"Awe, is he getting angry...fine
With a wave of his hand the lights around the twins disappear. Virgil feeling the constriction of the spell jumps out of the chair faster than the eyes can see the man leaning against the desk gives a sigh as if he's no longer interested in this situation. The mystery man leans his head back looking straight up at Virgil. Sitting in the chair Angel is more worried than anything that the man actually followed her brothers movement. In the air, Virgil cocks his fist back thrusting downward as hard as he can, aiming for the mans head. Bored the man speaks up.
"Oh since you never asked the names Connor."
The man, Connor speaks a final word waving his hand
"Bind"
Virgil falls and struggles to break free. Connor waves a hand, releasing the bonds.
Virgil springs up, going for Connors back hoping to gain the advantage of surprise . Connor makes a quick turn and kicks Virgil in the stomach. Angel winces hearing the air from Virgil getting pushed out suddenly.
"Maybe he needs some advice" she thought to herself before saying out loud
"think before you move."
Through gritted teeth catching his breath Virgil yells back
"He has my sword."
Seeming amused Connor looks down with contempt
"Give up? one last chance."
Virgil realizing he's outclassed but not giving an inch yells back
"My sword!!!"
He lunges one last time swinging at connor who weaving, with grace Angel would not have expected from a man about 50 or so, out of the way with ease brings his leg up to just about Virgil's chest kicks out another sickening blow pushing the air out once again. Virgil even though taking the first blow did not expect the same intensity once again stumbles over the desks. Virgil catching his breath lays on the desk sprawled out in an awkward angle. Angel runs over to her brother helping him up to his feet is given another look of contempt from Connor as he says
"Hmm thought you'd do better."
"What that supposed to mean."
"We knew who you were, my team and I."
Four hooded figures step into the room. They pull down their hoods to reveal their faces.Mouth gaped Virgil looks around the room Angel seemingly reading his mind
"You were the people that ambushed us after fighting the demons."
Connor walks over to the door where the four others are smile beaming at the twins realization
"Yeah, think of it as one of your admissions tests."
Admission test for what?"
At this a kid of about medium height with brown eyes and a blue gi under his robes speaks up
"To Silver Sword Academy of course."
Virgil and Angel look at each other processing what they've just heard question with a light hint of irritation and equal pets surprise
"You're kidding...all that and it's just a test?"
