MegaGirl #1

Two weeks after driving away Erius Dark and rebuilding the cities of the coastlines of the United States, Avery decided that she needs to practice using her powers and needs to train more. Especially, after having her mother and father discovering her power. One argument between them, and the entire planet could shake and be destroyed if she loses control. So, she decided to go to a secluded island away from civilization.

"Mai, I'm going to be training on a secluded island for a while. So, could you come up with some kind of excuse for my parents and teachers?" Avery said as she calls Mai, using her visor.

"Of course, I'll say you'll be attending another school's academic festival to motivate you to do better in school. And tell them you had to leave immediately to catch your flight," Mai responded.

" Thanks, see you later,"

After a few minutes, Avery arrived at an island that she discovered last week, in search of any strange effects left by Erius' parting gift. It wasn't on any maps due to it being in the Bermuda Triangle. As she landed on the island, she immediately heard growling from the dense forest. She walked forward and prepared herself mentally. Entering the dense forest, she was immediately attacked by a tiger-like beast twice her size. Unfortunately, Avery's attempts to counterattack failed due to the beast's unnatural speed and sharp claws. Swiftly bouncing around Avery, the beast sliced Avery repeatedly, leaving small cuts on her body. Then, it pounced on top of her and clawed her face repeatedly. Angry and upset, Avery subconsciously used her heat vision to burn the beast, scaring it away.

"Ahhhhh…Fuck, that hurts!" Avery yells as she placed a hand over her injury. Immediately, she felt her injury heal without leaving a scar. "Woah, that's convenient." She said. Suddenly, another tiger-like beast attacked Avery from behind. However, it was immediately attacked by a giant black snake, which swallowed it whole. And, the snake went back into the forest. "What the…

Suddenly, she heard hissing coming from around her. Fearful of her surroundings, she turned and scanned the area. However, she suddenly noticed her sight was different. Besides seeing amazing distances, she saw the heat signatures of every living thing on the island, that was much larger than she seen from the sky.

"Woah, this is amazing. I had known I could do this." Avery thought. Then, Avery blinked her eyes, and her vision went back to normal. "Anko never told me about that. Makes me wonder what else she didn't tell me."

She, then, continued to explore the rest of the dense forest, slowly. She'd seen many exotic, large animals which amazed her. While she was distracted, the large snake from before snuck up behind Avery.

"What the…

The snake struck and tried to eat Avery.

"What the hell? Is everything on this island huge and trying to kill me?" Avery said as she dodged the snake's attacks. "Well, at least this is good training."

Suddenly, another snake attacks her from behind while the black one attacks from the front.

"Greeeaaat, more snakes." She thinks, sarcastically, as she disappears and reappears in a clearing. Calming herself, Avery slowed her breathing and focused her strength.

"SSSissstteersss, it sssseeeemsss we have an unwanted guesssst." A white snake said as it slithered out of the forest.

"Sssspeak for yourssself, ssssissster. I'm ssssstarving." The black snake said as it slithered over the white one and started circling around her.

"You're alwayssss hungry, Sssisster." A green snake said as it slithered up behind Avery and circled around her too.

"Enough! We're all hungry. Fight amongsst oursssselvesss won't sssolve anything." A silver snake said as it rose is head above the trees.

"And they talk." Avery said, sarcastically.

Suddenly, the green snake swiftly charged at Avery with the black and white snakes behind it. Quickly reacting, Avery jumps on the green snake's head and run down its body, towards the black and white snakes. As they struck at Avery, the snakes slammed into one another as Avery disappeared.

"Yeah, talking snakes. Huge, different color, highly aggressive. Any idea what they are? Or where I am?" Avery said as she appeared above the trees.

"No, they can't be. Tell me. Are they silver, black, green and white?" Mai asked.

"Yeeeessss," Avery said as she was grabbed and slung around by the silver snake.

"Avery, listen to me. Those are Atlantean bio-super weapons called Titanoboas. They were originally created to protect the Atlanteans from the Dinosaurs and threats. Until a mysterious energy corrupted them, causing them to kill the entire Atlantean people. Luckily, that energy formed a special barrier sealing and hiding them inside for millions of years, but I think Erius' visit caused a shift somewhere in reality. And, that means you need to capture and bring those snakes here so we can keep them up here." Mai explained.

"Why? You know I have a thing about snakes?" Avery said as the silver snake slammed her into the ground.

"Yes, I know you're afraid of snakes especially when they're huge. But, if you let them stay on the planet, they could get off that island, and devour the entire world. Especially, since they're indestructible. And not even you will be able to stop them."

"Okay, I'll try to place them in a sphere." Avery said as dodged the silver snake's attack. Concentrating her energy, Avery's appearance changed. Her hair went from brown to red with silver streaks. She, then, created an Omen Orb and threw it at the black, white, and green snakes. Almost instinctively, the silver snake intercepted the orb, letting the orb hit its body. However, unexpectedly, the omen orb quickly grew and absorbed everything in its paths. "Uh oh," Avery thought as the black orb absorbed her. The orb, then, absorbed the rest of the island making a barrier-like sphere.

"Avery! Avery! Avery! Avery Aramus Lucrada! Answer me!" Mai yelled.

Floating in space, Avery sleeps in a coma-like state. Suddenly, a girl, the same age, flies up beside her and carries her back to earth at high speeds.

Later, Avery wakes up in a strange pod surrounded by scientists. Angry, Avery released a powerful shockwave of energy, breaking open the pod.

"You dare put me in a pod like one of your experiments. I will end you." Avery said as she floated out of the pod.

"So, you do speak English? That's not surprising since you share so many qualities with us. But you have the wrong idea. That pod was healing you and analyzing your body so we could help you better." A scientist said.

"Speaking of knowing you better, which planet are you from?" Another scientist asked, excitedly.

"Planet? I'm not an alien. I'm from Washington DC." Avery replied.

"As in the Washington DC that has been destroyed for decades. The radiation alone should make it unbearable to live."

"Destroyed? I was gone for a couple of minutes. Man, those heroes are useless." Avery thought.

"Heroes? Yes, we were once called that but ever since we failed to stop the Nuclear Bomb in Washington DC, we heroes have been either hunted by the Hunters or hidden from the Hero haters who blame them. Avery Satin." A woman said telepathically as she walked into the room. She wore a yellow jacket with a green and black fitted shirt with a steel breastplate over her chest.

"Who are you?" Avery asked as she calmed down.

"Mary Black, an advisor of the leader of the Las Vegas settlement camp Yolunda Wilde. To which you have been summoned by her. I advise you to heed her summons." She answered.

Avery sighed. "Alright, lead the way." She said as she landed in front of her.

"Really? Like that. That's bold." Mary black said teasingly.

Avery looked down and seen she was naked. Immediately, she covered her sensitive parts. "Where are my clothes?" she asked calmly.

"They're being washed. So, I prepared these for you." Mary said while smiling and holding out an outfit. Avery grabbed the clothes and quickly put the clothes on. "Amazing, you put those on abnormally fast." Mary said.

"Well, you learn some tricks when you have an annoying twin brother who love to barge in."

"I understand. I have brothers who used to love coming into my dreams and bully me."

"Wow, that must've been horrible." Avery said.

"Well, it did for a while. Until I got stronger than them and conjured up their worst nightmares while making them lose touch with time. They never did it try it again." Mary said while smiling. Avery looked at Mary speechless. "Shall we go? Don't want to keep Yolunda waiting." Mary said.

"Sure, after you," Avery said, nervously.

In the meeting room,

"What do you mean the people are starting to revolt! Don't they know how much we have done? How much we lost?" A man yells slamming the table as Mary and Avery walks in the room.

"Enough, Rick. You going to kill the man." A woman said.

"You shut up, Hannah. I'm teaching this insolent brat the lesson he needs." Rick said. He opened his mouth wide, taking in a lot of air. As he begins the shouts, Avery quickly grabs him by the neck and hover off the ground.

"You're hurting my ears." She said.

Hannah reacted and launched herself at Avery, punching her into a wall. "If you know what's good for you, you'll stay down." She said.

"That's new. No human ever did that did that before." Avery thought as she got up from the rubble. She looks at Hannah. She stretches and gets ready.

"Alright, everyone, let's calm down. Nobody wants to make a mess, so let's stay calm."

"If not that, you should stop before I make you." A teenage girl slowly floated down from the upper level with glowing red eyes. Hannah calmed down, however, Avery refused to calm down. "Did you not hear me? I said…

"I heard you. However, I'm not the type to…

"Psst, I suggested you do what she says. She a very powerful being." Mary whispered.

"So, am I?" Avery said before letting Rick go and flying up in front of the girl. "So, you're the leader of these people. Nice to meet you. I'm Avery." She said, extending her hand.

"So, your name is Avery. Nice to meet you, too. I'm Yolunda Wilde." The girl said, trying to play it cool. But, somehow, Avery knew Yolunda was both flustered and excited to meet her. But she didn't know why. Avery smiled. Yolunda smiled back. "Execute this girl." Yolunda commanded.

"What!?" Avery said as guns were aimed at her. Instantly, she was bombarded with bullets. However, they weren't effective against Avery, thanks to her impenetrable skin. Upset, Avery concentrated energy into her eyes and shot the ground beneath the soldiers, knocking them over.

"What the… Avery instantaneously disappeared, and everyone was flung into the walls. Suddenly, she reappeared in front of Yolunda, angrily glaring at her. Scared, Yolunda tried to punch Avery, but Avery easily caught her punch, laughing.

"Oh no, you can't hurt me with that weak punch. You'll have to try harder than that." Avery said, intimidatingly. Suddenly, he threw Yolunda up through the roof. Flying after her, Avery was shocked by the changes of the world. The skies were red and the air was extremely dry. The land was barren with zombies roaming around. "What happened?" Avery asked.

"Well, that's the reason why I brought you here." Yolunda said as flew in front of her.

"What happened?" Avery asked.

"Well, after the destruction of Washington DC, aliens invaded and released a deadly poison turning the people into zombies. Then, they terraformed the Earth, so they could build their cities resulting the lives of regular civilians extremely difficult. The humans can't live like this much longer." Yolunda explained.

"Hence the reason you brought me here. But question… Why won't you handle it yourself? You seem like you're just as strong as me." Avery said.

"Can I be honest with you?" Yolunda asked. Avery, confused, nodded. "Well, I'm not the biggest fan of humanity. They're nothing but a bad, traumatizing memory for me." Yolunda said with a heavy expression.

"What… Suddenly, images of the Yolunda's past flooded Avery's mind, causing her to cry. She then hugged Yolunda, shocking her. "I'm sorry. So sorry. You were so alone." She said.

Suddenly, Yolunda began to cry.

Twenty minutes later, Floating in the sky,

"So you've seen all my past?" Yolunda asked.

"Yeah… I've seen the things they've done to you. The experimentation and torture those scientists done on you until you've awakened your powers. But I also saw the things you've done. And I'm not talking about the last five years."

"Right, you must be very disappointed with me for doing those things." Yolunda said.

"Not really. I understand why you did what you did. Trust me… I probably would've been the same way if I hadn't met people who accepted me. But you shouldn't let the government, or those scientists persuade your perception of humanity. Some of them are very kind and accepting."

"Yeah, Mary is one of the many people that is accepting." Yolunda said, smiling.

Suddenly, Yolunda and Avery hear screaming coming from a few miles north.

"Shall we?" Avery asked.

"Yeah," Yolunda answered, happily.

Meanwhile, Rick, Hannah, and Mary are sitting in the war room, looking at a map of the camp.

"So, I was thinking we should try to expand out towards Caeser's Palace. That should give us more space for housing, and we can use this area for production." Mary said.

"That sounds great and all, but you do realize that's seven or eight blocks away. We don't have the means for transportation. All the vehicles don't work without gas." Hannah said.

"She's right, Mary. Moving from place to place will be challenging. Especially if we secure the route form zombies."

"Are you two forgetting we have the two most powerful girls in the world helping us?" Mary said, arrogantly.

"Seriously, Mary. You do realize that we attacked one those girls. And whose to say that she didn't kill Yolunda?" Hannah said.

"Because she was chosen by Yolunda. She's a good person and I know it." Mary said.

An alarm sounds and immediately the three of them rush outside. Once outside, they saw a humongous plane floating above them.

"What are they doing here?" Rick said, angrily.

"You don't think that that girl led them to us?"

"No, that plane is different from theirs. It looks more advanced." Mary said.

Suddenly, a woman floats down and lands in front of them. "Excuse me, have you seen a teenage girl around here? Brown hair… Silver eyes?" she asks.

Mary and the others looked at her confused.

"Her name is Avery." The woman said, showing a picture of Avery.

"You know Avery. How is that possible she's not from around here?" Mary said.

"Oh! So, you've seen her! Where!?" she said excitedly.
