Beginning (III)

Ugh... it hurts, but wasn't enough to kill me. I'm still alive, nevertheless I don't think I can win with just this... a glove. I stand up, very slowly despite my legs couldn't stop trembling.

Is this how terror feels? Didn't thought that facing something that was far superior in every aspect would cause that effect on me.

It's more agile and stronger than me, if only I had a weapon...

After a scream of fury it came running towards me.

"Dammit, it will kill me! I need more power. Glove, give me the power that I need!" I screamed a few meters from the next attack of the beast in an act of despair.

This is the end, I don't believe I can resist another hit. No, I don't want to end like this. This can't be over yet!

"Grrr--!" I heard a cry, surprised I opened my eyes and saw it.

A sword appeared nailed on the chest of my opponent piercing it's body. It was double edged, normal length of a not so dark black color, like a night illuminated by the light of the full moon. A crimson blood came out of the wound on it's abdomen.

"It could be... that I summoned it?" that was the only explanation. I grabbed and remove it quickly from where it was and took a few steps back.

It's pretty light and comfortable. It has some contrast with my other weapon, if I can consider it one.

The creature seemed to feel a lot of pain, then raised it's head and we exchanged glances. I can feel more anger than before, so much that I would be paralyzed from it...

But not now.

In my left hand I posses a beautiful light blue glove like a clear day sky.

In my right hand I hold a dazzling black sword like a bright night.

I can do it. I can defeat it. I can kill it.

Now is the moment while taking the advantage that he's hurt. I hurried full of conviction and decided to do it. Is now or never, kill or be killed. I'll show him what I am capable off. This time I'll take on the offensive, I'm running for it.

"Grrrrr!" furious pounced into me.

Like I expected it was faster than me. Raised its great arm and scratched my left side. Just as I thought.

He was afraid of the weapon in my right hand, therefore it wanted to hit the opposite side. The damage that it caused was so much that it was worried. It's a good strategy to start with the weak part, however I was ready for that. I focused all my attention on blocking that attack while I spin around the sword on my right as a distraction. I achieved it, managed to stop the claw with my glove and proceed to grasp it. Despite the repulse effect I grabbed it, make a twist and pull it's arm.

"Got you. Game over"

With my sword I pierced through its neck and everything ended. With some little strength I was able to cut its head that fell rolling into the ground. The body collapsed later and started to bleed out slowly.

Exhausted I fell to my back. Closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
