To the Capital (IV)

I'm standing in front of what remains of its body. The light barriers disappeared and a silhouette descended from the closest building.

"It was a good fight, you really know how to do it kid" said the man getting close to me.

He was the one who used his techniques to stop the creature and left all the fight to me. Now I can see him clearly. He has brown pants with leather boots and a red sleeveless jacket with a hat that was appropriate for the set. Definitely is older than me, 30 years old probably. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not usually good at guessing other people's age.

Anyway, this mister doesn't seem to be the kind of guy who leaves the hard work to someone younger... well, appearances can be deceiving.

"Thanks to you for the help" I answered in the most cordial way possible and trying not to sound so sarcastic.

"Your welcome kid. Well what a surprise, I didn't think I would find another user of light like me"

"User of light?"

Did he means our powers? Now that I think about it, it's as the radio message said. He can also use something special, although is different from my abilities. He approached and showed me what he had in his hand. A little knife with a peculiar form, it reminds me to a kunai, of a light blue or cyan colour, just like my glove.

"This is what I can materialize. You are certainly special, you have 2 weapons to summon!" said very exited looking up close my glove on my left hand and my sword on the right.

Seriously is so amazing to have 2 weapons? The sword is the obvious choice, but my glove is... another thing.

I still can't comprehend it entirely. Is like this power from the other day that appeared suddenly after I grabbed that tiny stone.

Right, that attack. The one when I concentrated the light on my index finger and shot a sort of beam of light. I will try to do it again. I focus on gather the energy on my palm. Quickly it starts to stock and cover my finger. I raise my hand and take aim.

"What are you doing? What is that strange glow?" the guy asked surprised.

"Don't blink or you will miss it" I answered with a smile.

Once it finished loading completely the beam of light shoots automatically. It went past by the head of the mister and pierced the creature that was sneaking behind him to hurt us. It seems he didn't even notices that he was about to die and not necessarily by my hands. My attack went through the dinosaur's forehead and fell to the floor. I'm astonished of my good aim.

A few seconds later the beast started to disintegrate. Meat, bones, blood, every possible evidence that we both joined forces to defeat it vanished. Just the debris, the cracks on the buildings and our own memories remains of what occurred here.

"... what a scare you gave me. I thought you were going to kill me" said frightened.

"I think that you didn't know that when one of those beings die it disintegrates, right? I was waiting for the moment to finish him, sorry to use you as bait. Now we are even"

"Don't do it again please"

"Okay, sorry. Well, back to the previous topic" I said putting away my sword and defrag my glove. After finishing I keep on talking "You also obtained your powers on that moment? On the day of the Apocalypse?"

He took his kunai and pointed to the sky. He seemed to contemplate its form, its colour, its existence in general. A little smile appeared in his face, although it only lasted for an instant.
