A Story Called Destiny

This woman named Corneria formally introduced herself when we met her and invited us to follow her, while her 2 escorts watched us from nearby. On the way to the city center she told us about the upcoming event.


In this place a Seekers tournament will be held to fight in 1 on 1 combats, in order to gather a large number of Objects. It seems that this site was abandoned a long time ago since the events of the day of the Apocalypse and there is no inhabitant left.


From what she explained to me and what I can corroborate from my own experience, Seekers can't just abandon their Object just like that. The only way to stop doing so is to lose their life, and even then, that will only bring it back to their Holder until they find a new potential candidate.


But what happens when 2 Seekers face each other? Apparently there are certain special rules that apply depending on strange abilities or conditions. Maybe that's the reason why I still have my katana, that hooded guy couldn't steal it from my hands. I don't know, I think that's the most likely situation.


Back to the current topic, now a skill that covers the area is being used to prevent the Objects from returning with their Holder. Not only that, there is a non-aggression treaty that prohibits combat outside of official fights.


Is it just me or does this sound really weird? The legends originally said that there were 2 ideologies, those who wanted to bring them all together and find out if they could obtain some kind of power or absolute truth, on the other hand there were those who want to separate them out of fear of the possible disaster or end of the universe it could cause.


Corneria states that the participants present have heard the same stories, not knowing which is true if any of them really are. I guess everyone gathered here is for the option of collecting them, considering the incredible things they are capable of doing. Surely there must be those who have specific powers to bring them together and others to separate them.


Another important detail is who organized this tournament. She told me that it was a person who remains anonymous with the help of his right hand who supervised various details, as well as who would be participating.


Is there someone with the power to direct this? And what is the profit in just watching? Is it that he wants to see some show or something?


The whole thing is just suspicious. How the hell is it that I always get caught up in these weird situations?
